ACCESSING PREMISES BASED ON ANGLE OF ARRIVAL
Aspects of the invention are directed towards an apparatus and a method for providing seamless access of a premises to a user based on an angle of arrival. One or more embodiments of the invention describe receiving advertisements from accessing devices on a user terminal and filtering of the advertisements from the accessing devices based on the angle of arrival. An accessing device which is intended for access is determined when the user terminal is directed towards the accessing device based on the filtering. The method also comprises sending an access command to the accessing device based on the determination.
Electronic lockbox with interface to other electronic locks
An electronic lock system that uses an intermediary controller (“IMC”), such as an electronic lockbox, to communicate with an electronic lock that protects buildings, such as dwellings. The IMC also communicates with a wireless portable computer (“WPC”), such as a smart phone, so that an authorized user can first authenticate credentials to the IMC, then have the IMC (or the WPC) send appropriate messages to the electronic lock to command that lock to unlock. The IMC must initially be setup by an ADMIN, so that the IMC's memory contains the specific codes and protocols to successfully communicate with the electronic lock. In this manner, the user can obtain access to the building without specific knowledge of those specific codes and protocols required by the electronic lock. An alarm panel on a building could also be disarmed by the IMC, if its specific codes and protocols are first setup into the IMC's memory.
MISSING PROPERTY ACCESS TOOL DETECTION IN LOCK BOX
A method of monitoring a storage area within a lock box including: detecting, using at least one of: a load cell sensor or an object shape detection sensor, a physical property of a property access tool within the storage area prior to a showing of a property, the physical property of the property access tool including at least one of a weight of the property access tool or a shape of the property access tool; saving the physical property of the property access tool; detecting an end of the showing of the property; detecting, after the end of the showing, that the property access tool is not present in the storage area; and activating, using a controller, an alert in response to detecting that the property access tool is not present in the storage area.
System and method for providing temporary access to a vehicle
A method for providing temporary access to a vehicle includes receiving a vehicle access request at a vehicle, transporting the vehicle from a storage space to a user originating the vehicle access request using the at least one of the semi-autonomous mode and the fully autonomous mode, providing the user access to the vehicle via a smartlock system, and transporting the vehicle from the user to the storage space subsequent to the user's access. The vehicle includes a controller configured to operate the vehicle in at least one of a semi-autonomous mode and a fully autonomous mode.
DISARMING SURVEILLANCE SYSTEMS FOR AUTHORIZED PERSONS
Deactivating one or more components of a surveillance system in response to authenticating an authorized person is disclosed and described. A method includes authenticating a user as an authorized person with permission to enter a property and, in response to authenticating the user, causing a compartment of a lockbox to open. The method includes providing a notification to a surveillance system indicating the user has been authenticated and accessed the compartment of the lockbox.
Smart lock box
A smart lock box system is described. One implementation of the lock box system includes a locking mechanism configured to securely hold a cover over a compartment. The lock box system includes a receiver capable of receiving signals from a user device. The lock box system also includes a processor configured to identify an access message in a received signal, a service to verify that the access message was provided by an authorized party, and cause the locking mechanism to be released in response to verifying that the access message was provided by the authorized party. The open/close events are recorded in a distributed ledger to document which user's device was used to access a given property at a given time. Furthermore, the smart lock box system utilizes a push notification service, based on user device's GPS, to inform owners when to depart/return to the property.
DETECTION OF UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS OF LOCKED CONTAINER
Detecting unauthorized access of a locked key container having a key for a vehicle or a premises. An indication is received at a sensor coupled to the key that the key container is being tampered with. A notification is sent in response to receiving the indication that the key container is being tampered with.
ELECTRONIC KEY STORAGE DEVICE
An electronic key storage device including an openable and closable door and a plurality of key holders includes a storage unit configured to store key information of an electronic key usable for each registered user and location information of the key holder matching the electronic key, a user authentication unit configured to perform user authentication by receiving user authentication information so that the door is openable or closable, and a control unit configured to control a fastening operation of the key holder to put the electronic key in the key holder and take the electronic key out of the key holder.
Capturing personal user intent when interacting with multiple access controls
A method of advertisement filtering including receiving advertisements from a multiple of access controls; filtering the received advertisements based on a credential on the mobile device; comparing the filtered received advertisements and determining a user intent to access a particular access control in response to the comparing and to a destination intent.
Temporal lock system
A temporal lock system adapted to controllably dispense a key for unlocking a lock and upon a request from a mobile device. The temporal lock system includes a timer, a lock assembly, and a mobile device application. The lock assembly is adapted to dispense the key and initiate the timer upon dispensing of the key. The mobile device application is configured to output a retrieve key signal to the lock assembly for dispensing of the key.
