Integrated package and mail security system implementing enriched customer and delivery service capabilities
A system for securely depositing an item includes: a deposit box with a door configured to provide selective access to an interior space in the deposit box; a lock mechanism configured to attach to the deposit box to selectively block the door from opening; a first proximity sensor operatively connected to the lock mechanism to operate the lock mechanism to block the door or allow the door to open; a second proximity sensor configured to be attached to at least one of: a delivery person and a piece of delivery equipment; a third proximity sensor; and a first transmitter operatively connected to the lock mechanism and configured to transmit a signal indicative of operating information regarding the lock mechanism, and wherein the deposit box is at least 18 inches wide and 24 inches long.
Method and system for providing access control
Techniques for providing access control are disclosed. The techniques include: receiving, by an access control system, point cloud data associated with a field of view of a sensor; based on the point cloud data, determining that an object is entering a physical zone of interest in the field of view; and determining, by the access control system, an access control result indicating that the object is authorized to access the physical zone of interest or is not authorized to access the physical zone of interest.
AUTOMATED DOOR SYSTEM
Many embodiments can include a system. The system can comprise one or more processors; and one or more non-transitory computer readable mediums storing computing instructions. The computing instructions can be configured to run on the one or more processors and cause the one or more processors to perform: receiving, at a first sensor coupled in a fixed position relative to an automated door, a signal from a portable sensor associated with a user; in response to receiving the signal from the portable sensor, facilitating a customized opening actuation of the automated door or a customized closing actuation of the automated door, wherein at least one of the customized opening actuation or the customized closing actuation is customized for the user.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS OF ADJUSTING VEHICLE COMPONENTS FROM OUTSIDE OF A VEHICLE
Systems and methods for adjusting one or more component of a vehicle are disclosed herein. In an embodiment, a system for adjusting one or more component of a vehicle includes at least one adjustable vehicle component, an authentication device, an audio device, and a controller. The authentication device is configured to detect a vehicle user outside of the vehicle and generate corresponding authentication data. The audio device is configured to receive an audible command from the vehicle user from outside of the vehicle and generate corresponding command data. The controller is programmed to cause an adjustment of the at least one adjustable vehicle component based on the command data when the vehicle user has been authenticated based on the authentication data.
Access control system and method for operating an access control system
A system for controlling access to an access-restricted zone in a building includes a transmitting device transmitting a first radio signal, a receiving device for radio signals, a control device and a signal processing device communicatively connected to the receiving and control devices. The signal processing device determines a first channel impulse response based on the first radio signal received by the receiving device and a second channel impulse response based on a second radio signal received by the receiving device. The second radio signal is transmitted from a first mobile electronic device of a first user. The signal processing device determines a degree of similarity by evaluating the first and second channel impulse responses. The degree of similarity indicates how similar the first and second channel impulse responses are to one another. The control device initiates a building action if the degree of similarity meets a specified rule.
Power Distribution Equipment Personnel Safety System
A power distribution equipment personnel safety system includes a vicinity sensor and a power distribution equipment sensor. An outer envelope having a door or cover to an interior of the power distribution equipment is monitored by a vicinity sensor data and a processing unit determines a position of a person in the area outside of the door/cover using vicinity sensor data. When the outer envelope is disturbed where one or more doors or one or more covers are open or not correctly closed or one or more covers are removed, the processing unit determines a personnel safety state and at least one action comprising utilization of the personnel safety state.
TOUCHLESS MOTION SENSOR SYSTEMS FOR PERFORMING DIRECTIONAL DETECTION AND FOR PROVIDING ACCESS CONTROL
A touchless motion sensor system for performing directional motion detection includes first and second touchless motion sensors. First and second sensing units are coupled to the first and second touchless motion sensors each having a sensing unit disable input, a sensing unit disable output, a sensing unit to sensing unit motion detected output, and motion logic. The first sensing unit disable output is coupled to the second sensing unit disable input, and the second sensing unit disable output is coupled to the first sensing unit disable input.
Voice activated liftgate
An independent add-on automated vehicle lift gate system utilizing existing key fob authentication circuits in combination with an independent voice control system. The system uses microphones in connection with audio acquisition hardware and voice recognition hardware that actively listen for one or more voiced commands from a user outside of a vehicle. Before activating the mechanical system, which is for example the actuator of the lift gate and lock mechanism for the lift gate, the system will wait for confirmation from a separate vehicle system that monitors and notifies the vehicle lift gate system when an identification code is received from a key fob transponder located in a predetermined proximity of the vehicle, thereby authenticating the one or more voiced commands detected by the microphones.
MOBILE DIGITAL LOCKING TECHNOLOGY
The invention relates to methods and systems where a mobile phone is used to open doors of buildings and vehicles instead of a dedicated physical key. In the invention, the mobile station is configured to provide the operating power to the lock without a power chord. A mobile station app is then configured to communicate with the lock via a short-range wireless communication connection, and open and close the lock. The object of the invention is to provide an electronic software-based key and lock system that is cheaper and easier to use than the physical key.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR REGISTRATION AND AUTHENTICATION OF USER EQUIPMENT FOR CONTROLLING VEHICLE
A device for registering and authenticating a user device for vehicle control includes: a communication unit connected to the user device to receive an authentication request from the user device; an interface configured to communicatively connect with at least one antenna included in the vehicle and communicating with a FOB of the vehicle; and a processor configured to detect whether the user device is registered based on at least one of user information and device information included in the received authentication request, to detect whether a user of the user device has the FOB by using the at least one antenna, and to control a registration process of the user device which is set differently depending on whether the user has the FOB when the user device is not registered.
