Banknote validator

A banknote validator having a housing, a validation sensor; and a banknote drive mechanism. The banknote drive mechanism may be arranged to transport a banknote from an input aperture to a stacking device. The banknote drive mechanism may delimit a first banknote pathway proximal to an input aperture, and a second banknote pathway proximal to the stacking device. A pivotable security gate arrangement may be included that is resiliently biased to project into the second banknote pathway.

Card reader and foreign matter detection method thereof

A card reader for use with a card having a magnetic stripe may include a card insertion port; a card passage through which the card inserted from the card insertion port passes, the card passage being connected to the card insertion port; a magnetic head configured to perform at least one of: recording magnetic data to the magnetic stripe of the card and reading magnetic data from the magnetic stripe of the card; a capacitive sensor provided in contact with the card passage; and a movable structure structured such that a distance to the capacitive sensor is variable. The capacitive sensor may include a plurality of regions, each of the plurality of regions being structured to detect a capacitance, and a switch circuit configured to electrically connect and disconnect each region of the plurality of regions.

TAMPER-EVIDENT MATERIALS, ADHESIVES, SEALS, AND CONTAINERS

Described herein are tamper-evident adhesive seals for sealing articles, containers, and other enclosure in which a covert tamper evidencing agent is included in an adhesive sealing material. The presence of the covert tamper evidencing agent reveals evidence of tampering when exposed to UV light.

Centrally controlled safe management system

A cash management system utilizes a cloud computing model wherein a cloud of one or more servers may be locally networked or may be geographically dispersed and accessed by the client device over the Internet. The client device is a cash management safe. More than one safe may be employed in a system. Metrics, control functions, and interactions normally handled by an autonomous safe are shunted directly to a cloud server on the network. Usage data, currency validations, coin validations, security entries, etc. are communicated to the cloud server. The cloud server(s), based on database information and software settings, can transmit configuration, updates and information to remote safes. The information transmitted may include user configuration, access rules, currency configuration, alert configuration, and software and firmware updates. The cloud server based cash management system allows the entire cash management of an enterprise to be provided as a service to that enterprise.
