COMPUTER-BASED SYSTEMS AND METHODS CONFIGURED FOR ONE OR MORE TECHNOLOGICAL APPLICATIONS FOR AUTHORIZING A CREDIT CARD FOR USE BY A USER
A configured application for authorizing a credit card by a user and a method that may include receiving an electronic request to pair a mobile device associated with a user with a credit card of the user. The credit card may include a location tracking circuitry to remotely communicate a location of the credit card to a remote electronic recipient. The location of the credit card may be received by a processor from the remote electronic recipient. A proximity multi-factor authentication may verify that the user is an authorized user of the credit card. The mobile device associated with the user may be paired with the credit card of the user after verifying that the user is the authorized user. The processor may receive the location of the credit card paired with the mobile device from the remote electronic recipient. The location of the credit card may be displayed on a display of the mobile device associated with the user.
Multifunction card including biometric data, card payment terminal, and card payment system
A multifunction card includes an integrated circuit. The integrated circuit includes a memory, a processor, and a communicator. The memory stores first software which is executed by the processor and realizes a card payment function, second software which is executed by the processor and realizes a function other than the card payment function, biometric data for a user capable of using the card payment function, and setting data which represents that biometric authentication for the first software is necessary and whether biometric authentication for the second software is necessary.
Gesture-Controlled Payment Instrument
The present disclosure relates to user authentication using a contactless payment instrument. The contactless payment instrument includes a contactless chip and a gesture control module. The user makes one or more gestures at an access device during a card-present transaction scenario and the gestures are validated and the authentication status is determined by matching the gesture made by the user at the time of the transaction with one or more predefined gestures. If the authentication is successful, the payment instrument transmits the payment information required for conducting the transaction.
Random graphical authentication
A method for card authentication is provided. Methods may include receiving a card with a graphical representation and a plurality of transaction details at a card reader. Methods may include processing the graphical representation. The processing may identify a representative number. Methods may include deciphering card data from the representative number. Methods may include transmitting the card data and the transaction details for approval and/or denial. Methods may include receiving an approval and/or denial. Methods may include generating an updated graphical representation. Methods may include pushing the updated graphical representation to the card.
Systems and methods for activating account card functions based on physical device interactions
Systems and methods are provided for activating a function of an account card based on physical devices interactions such as a motion pattern detected by the account card. In some embodiments, the account card may include one or more sensors and processing capabilities sufficient to store a motion pattern, detect a motion pattern representing movement of the account card, compare the detected motion pattern to the stored motion pattern, and activate one or more functions of the account card based on the comparison. In some embodiments, the one or more functions may relate to account information communication, such as writing a magnetic stripe, unblocking a magnetic stripe, activating a near field communication chip, displaying an account number, providing power to an antenna, or otherwise enabling communication of the account number based on the capabilities of the card.
Systems and methods for pattern generation and security features
Methods, systems, and articles of manufacture for providing user participatory design as a process to generate unique patterns on transaction cards are disclosed. For example, a system for providing an interactive design environment for designing a transaction card is disclosed. Accordingly, the system may provide for deeper customization of transaction cards through generative patterns curated by designers and informed by end-users. As a result, the patterns on transaction cards may be unique to every user, and these unique patterns may provide additional security functions to cardholders.
Systems and methods for provisioning digital identities to authenticate users
Systems and methods are provided for use in provisioning digital identities for users. One exemplary method includes receiving, at a card device, an authentication request and a captured first biometric of a user, from a communication device associated with the user, and comparing the first biometric and a first biometric reference at the card device, in response to the first biometric reference being stored at the card device. The method also includes capturing, at the card device, a second biometric of the user and comparing the second biometric to a second biometric reference stored at the card device. The method further includes compiling a response to the authentication request including a first indicator of the comparison of the first biometric to the first biometric reference and a second indicator of the comparison of the second biometric to the second biometric reference, and transmitting the response to the communication device.
Smart card with sensors for detecting environmental conditions
In some embodiments, a smart card may include a substrate with a first side and a second side. A first protective layer covers the first side and a second protective layer covers the second side of the substrate. Circuitry held in the substrate includes electronic interconnects for interconnecting circuitry elements. The circuitry elements include a processor, power circuitry for powering the circuitry elements, and an environmental detection sensor for respectively detecting a predetermined environmental parameter. The processor is configured to receive an output from the environmental detection sensor, to determine from the output that the environmental detection sensor detected an environmental alert trigger condition, and to generate an alert that is representative of the environmental alert trigger condition. The protective layers include pores in a region proximate to the environmental detection sensor for exposing the environmental detection sensor to an environment around the smart card.
Device With Biometric-Gated Display
A module configured to perform processing as part of a device capable of performing contactless or contact communication with a terminal. The module comprises: a biometric sensor; one or more display screens; and one or more control units configured to: cause the biometric sensor to capture biometric data of a user which can be used to biometrically authenticate the user; obtain biometric authentication information indicating whether the user was biometrically authenticated based on the captured biometric data; and in response to the biometric authentication information indicating the user was biometrically authenticated, select one or more categories of authenticated information from a plurality of categories of authenticated information based on one or more detected conditions, and cause the one or more display screens to display the one or more selected categories of authenticated information.
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR SECURING SECURE DATA FOR A BANK PAYMENT CARD
The method secures data of a bank card linked to a bank account. The data is static and includes the number of the card, the identification data of the holder of the card, the expiration date of the card, and a cryptogram. The bank card number and cryptogram include multiple digits and/or letters. The method includes inscribing only partially secure data on the card in such a manner that the data is concealed and never visible on the card. The concealed data is multiple digits and/or letters of the number of the card and/or at least an identification datum of the holder and/or at least one element of the expiration date and/or at least one digit and/or letter of the cryptogram. The method includes transmitting to the only cardholder a means for disclosing the concealed data.
