A gaming system enabling financial transactions for an electronic gaming machine, or a plurality of electronic gaming machines is described. The gaming system includes an electronic gaming machine processor, a database, and a master gateway. The electronic gaming machine processor is associated with the electronic gaming machine. The database includes data for each financial transaction, the database including a financial transaction identification, a cardholder name, and a transaction value. The master gateway includes at least one of a problem gaming limit and a gaming rule set. The master gateway determines that the financial transaction complies with at least one of the problem gaming limit and the gaming rule set. The master gateway processes compliant financial transactions and rejects non-compliant financial transactions.

Relative to a gaming system, a jackpot processing server is configured to generate at least one gaming win reporting form, such as a W2G, in response to a gaming win by the player. The jackpot processing server is configured to store that form and provide access to the form. A code may be provided to the player which is used to generate a communication link to a webserver for accessing the form. Alternatively, the form may be emailed to the player, such as in response to a request to an email server. An electronic gaming machine architecture is provided in which a gaming platform application and wagering game applications are executed in separate processes but may share access to common display windows; such display windows may be caused to be generated by the gaming platform application, which may then assign specific display windows to the various wagering game applications, along with window handles usable to direct graphical content thereto. The wagering game applications may then direct graphical content to the display windows, while the gaming platform application may retain control over the size, position, transparency, and/or z-order of the display windows.

A gaming machine includes an auxiliary lighting assembly including at least one light-emitting device, a display device, and a display controller in communication with the display device and the auxiliary lighting assembly. The display controller transmits a display pulse signal and display data to the display device to cause the display device to present display content by selectively emitting light based on the display pulse signal that defines an active period of light emission and an inactive period without light emission, generates an auxiliary lighting pulse signal based on one or more signal characteristics of the display pulse signal, synchronizes the auxiliary lighting pulse signal at a phase offset from the display pulse signal, and transmits the synchronized auxiliary lighting pulse signal to the auxiliary lighting assembly to cause the auxiliary lighting assembly to selectively emit light based on the synchronized auxiliary lighting pulse signal.
