CAREGIVER LOCATING TAG HAVING ADVANCED FUNCTIONALITY
A caregiver badge system includes a caregiver badge configured to be worn by a caregiver and having a cavity defined therein. An identification badge is configured to be positioned within the cavity. The identification badge is removable from the caregiver badge. A transceiver is positioned within the caregiver badge and configured to communicate with a positioning system to identify a location of the caregiver. A battery is positioned within the caregiver badge to power the transceiver.
PERSONAL SAFETY RECORDING SYSTEM AND METHOD OF USE
A personal safety recording system allows an individual to carry a concealed camera on themselves. The camera being concealed increases the likelihood of capturing any threatening or harmful behavior experienced or witnessed by the individual. The camera could be concealed in an owl or other shape and is intended to appear a normal clothing article. While the camera is recording a trigger or notification sequence alerts a friend or other third party that the camera is capturing an event that requires attention. The recording is sent through a transmitter or through another computing device such as a phone. The person's voice or buttons are examples of how the system could quickly and discreetly be activated to transmit the recording.
Systems and methods for providing weld quality confidence
Systems and methods for welding are described. The welding system can include, for example, a welding power source, a welding torch, and a computer. The computer and the welding torch can be operatively coupled to the power source. A first weld is performed and its signature is saved by the computer. It is considered a high quality weld and is selected as a weld reference. A second weld is performed and its signature is saved by the computer. The computer then computes a single weld confidence result for the second weld based on a comparison between the signature data of the second weld and the signature data of the reference weld. A weld fault condition is triggered based on the single weld confidence result which causes the welding system to stop or to modify the welding operation, and/or which causes the welding system to send out communications relating to the triggering of the weld fault condition.
HYGIENE SYSTEM FOR A PORTABLE PACKAGED FOOD CONTAINER
A system may automatically conduct hygiene cycles for a confined space such an interior space of a box suitable for storing and/or carrying packaged food. The system may include a hygiene device that can be attached to the box to conduct the hygiene cycles. The system may also automatically collect information related to the hygiene cycles and transmit the collected information to a network.
EVENT NOTIFICATION AND TIME AWARENESS SYSTEM
Disclosed is an event notification and time awareness system having a caregiver computing device and a user notification device, each coupled to a computer server. The user notification device displays event information pertaining to the user, who may have cognitive impairment, including diminished comprehension of time, resulting in difficulty remembering appointments, or basic events related to routine daily living. The computer server is programmed to send event information to the user notification device, including appointments, daily routine activities, or other special messages, in response to data input to the caretaker computing device by a caretaker that may be located remotely from the user. The user notification device includes a grayed-out screen to partially obscure past events while leaving current and future events unobscured.
System, method and apparatus for remote monitoring
A monitoring unit for security and automation in a premises are described. The monitoring unit uses remote configuration and control to enable monitoring of a premises. The monitoring unit provides multiple monitoring functions to respond to events within the space and alert a user at a remote device like a smartphone. An image sensor provides a wide field of view which can be segmented on the mobile device to enable specific areas to be viewed enabling the user to view the area and be alerted when an event occurs based upon a rules based configuration.
HOME SECURITY RESPONSE USING BIOMETRIC AND ENVIRONMENTAL OBSERVATIONS
Various arrangements for handling a potential security situation using a home automation system are presented. A biometric measurement of a user may be received. The biometric measurement of the user may exceed a defined threshold value for the biometric measurement. A security alert from a home automation device in wireless communication with the home automation host system may be received. If the biometric measurement is associated with the security alert, a security response action may be performed.
LOW-POWER ELECTRONIC TAPE FOR TRACKING ITEMS
A wireless communication tape, dispenser of the same and methods of usage of the wireless tape and the dispenser in asset tracking applications are disclosed. The wireless communication tape can be manufactured in an ultrathin form factor by laminating a stack of layers to impart functionality to the wireless communication tape. Methods of use and operation of the wireless communication tape are disclosed to save battery resources of the communication tape.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR WEARABLE MONITOR WITH ACTIVITY MONITORING, FALL DETECTION AND DELEGATE NOTIFICATION
The present system is directed in various methods, devices and systems relating to wearable devices for personal safety and emergency notification. More specifically, a wearable watch with a band that provides fall detection processing only after detecting a significant movement, emergency notification of an emergency service, a call to an emergency center and SMS message to designated delegates upon determining that a fall is detected. Fall detection processing only begins after a significant motion is detected. Once a significant motion is detected, then the device monitors motion for predetermined windows of time, develops waveforms for the monitored motion and compares the monitored waveform with a reference fall waveform. If the monitored waveform compares with the reference fall waveform at or above a predetermined comparison threshold, a fall is detected and declared.
Systems and Methods for Alerting Other Users During An Emergency Situation Faced by a User
A system and a method for alerting other users during an emergency situation faced by a user are disclosed. The method includes providing a plurality of Wireless Remote Transmitters (WRTs) connected with a central device, where each WRT is alphanumerically coded. The method further includes receiving, by the central device, an emergency response code from at least one WRT based at least on activation of a WRT by a user. The emergency response code is a unique alphanumeric code of the activated WRT. Further, the method includes modifying, by the central device, the emergency response code to read, display, and transmit any alphanumeric application desired by the user. Thereafter, the method includes sending, by the central device, the emergency response code to an electronic device of at least one other user, to alert the at least one other user of an emergency situation faced by the user.
