Metal protective net and protection monitoring system

The present invention relates to a metal protective net, including: multiple steel wires arranged in parallel; multiple metal connecting sheets arranged in parallel, where the metal connecting sheets and the steel wires are arranged to intersect with each other at multiple intersections without being connected; insulating members which are provided between the steel wires and the metal connecting sheets and located at the intersections, and fixedly connected therewith; and connecting terminals, where both ends of each steel wire each are connected with one connecting terminal, and both ends of each metal connecting sheet each are connected with one connecting terminal; and a monitoring device electrically connected with the connecting terminals. The steel wires and the metal sheets, which form the metal protective net, are not electrically conductive with each other, forming many individual loops. If the metal net is broken, an alarm can be sent by the monitoring device.

A fence alarm, having a plurality of laterally spaced electrically conductive fence elements, the fence elements electrically being connected in series with each other, a sensing arrangement electrically connected to the plurality of conductive fence elements, the sensing arrangement being calibrated to a nominal electrical value, the sensing arrangement further being operable to sense a predefined deviation from the nominal electrical value caused by a deviation in an electrical property of the conductive fence elements.

Fence with localized intrusion detection

The invention relates to a system for detecting and locating an attempted intrusion into a perimeter defined by a fence. The invention comprises a management unit (UG), impact or vibration detectors (D), and a station (P) for processing data (UG). According to the invention: each detector is connected on one side to another detector and on the other side either to another detector or a management unit; each detector transmits data to the detector(s) and/or management unit to which it is directly connected; each detector receives data from the detector(s) and/or management unit to which it is connected; and a detector that receives data on one side transmits said data to the detector or management unit to which it is connected on the other side, in addition to transmitting data about events that it has detected.

Security panel with virtual sensors

Embodiments are directed to a security panel configured to interface with virtual sensors. The security panel includes a sensor subsystem configured to receive sensor input from a plurality of physical sensors. A virtual sensor subsystem is configured to receive a virtual sensor input from an enrolled virtual sensor source as a virtual sensor and provide the virtual sensor input to the sensor subsystem. A monitoring subsystem is configured to provide an alert based on detection of an alert condition associated with at least one of the physical sensors and to provide the alert based on detection of a virtual alert condition associated with the virtual sensor.

SAFETY SWITCH AND ASSOCIATED METHODS

A cable pull switch includes a polychotomous sensor configured to provide a reading of at least one of a plurality of values, the reading corresponding to a tension on a pull cable or a linear displacement of an end of a pull cable. A processor coupled to the polychotomous cable pull sensor configured to determine a rate of change of the value of the reading from the sensor and determine an occurrence of a cable pull event, the determination based on the determined rate of change of the value, and determine whether the rate of change of the value of an electrical resistance through the polychotomous cable pull sensor is below a threshold rate of change value, and adjust an upper pull threshold value to a new upper pull threshold value that is based on a present reading of the value of the electrical resistance through the strain gauge.

The present invention provides an intrusion sensing apparatus for a security fence, the apparatus detecting the distribution characteristic of a frequency component of an output signal in a charge amplifier connected to a shielding multi-core cable united with a security fence, and thereby determining whether the output signal is a signal caused by the overall vibration of and a partial impact on the security fence.

Safety switch and associated methods

A cable pull switch includes a polychotomous sensor configured to provide a reading of at least one of a plurality of values, the reading corresponding to a tension on a pull cable or a linear displacement of an end of a pull cable. A processing device is configured to receive the reading, determine whether a value of the reading is outside of a non-tripped value window, a limit edge being a pull threshold value, and responsively generate an output signal indicative of a cable pull event. Other features and improvements are described.
