TWO-LEVEL LED SECURITY LIGHT WITH MOTION SENSOR
A technology for configuring a lifestyle LED light with a tunable light color temperature is disclosed. The technology of tuning the light color temperature is made possible by blending two LED loads emitting light with different color temperatures thru a light diffuser with an arrangement that a first electric power delivered to a first LED load emitting light with a low color temperature and a second electric power delivered to a second LED load emitting light with a high color temperature are reversely and complementarily adjusted for tuning a diffused light color temperature such that a total light intensity generated by the LED light is kept essentially unchanged.
SYSTEM FOR MONITORING THE PRESENCE OF INDIVIDUALS IN A ROOM AND METHOD THEREFOR
A presence detection system has at least one presence sensing monitor. The presence sensing monitor has a motion sensor detecting moving objects in an area being monitored by the presence detection system. A thermal image sensor provides a thermal image of the area being monitored by the presence detection system. A processor receives and analyzes signals from the motion sensor and the thermal image sensor to determine a presence of an individual in the area being monitored. The presence sensing monitor has a transmitter. The presence detection system has a monitoring and reporting device wirelessly coupled to the presence sensing monitor.
Two-level LED security light with motion sensor
A two-level LED security light includes an LED load and a motion sensor. The LED load is activated at dusk and deactivated at dawn by a light sensing control unit. At night, the LED load is activated for performing a low level illumination to provide an evening aesthetic and a navigation capacity. When the motion sensor detects any intrusion, the LED load is switched from the low level illumination to a high level illumination for a short duration adjustable by a time setting unit and then returns to the low level illumination. The LED load is configured with one or a plurality of LEDs accommodating to a power source, wherein a voltage V across each LED is confined in a range V.sub.th<V<V.sub.max with V.sub.th being a threshold voltage to turn on the LED and V.sub.max a maximum voltage to avoid damaging the LED.
Ambient light detector dispenser security monitoring system
The invention is a dispenser security system which has an ambient light sensor to detect tampering with a fuel dispenser. The ambient light sensor will be used to detect the delta change in light over time. If the delta change occur within a certain criteria then a thief is determined to be occurring and an alarm or warning is sent out. The ambient light sensor is located within a control box within the fuel dispenser unit.

A method of configuring an LED light with a tunable diffused light color temperature is disclosed. The method comprises using a light-emitting unit configured with a first LED load emitting light with a low color temperature and a second LED load emitting light with a high color temperature electrically connected in parallel, using a light diffuser to cover the first LED load and the second LED load to create a diffused light with a diffused light color temperature, using two semiconductor switching devices working in conjunction with a controller to respectively control a first electric power delivered to the first LED load and the second electric power delivered to the second LED load to operate a color temperature tuning and switching scheme and using a first external control device to output at least one first external control signal to activate a selection of a diffused light color temperature.
Two-level LED security light with motion sensor
A lifestyle LED security light including a light-emitting unit configured with two sets of LED loads respectively emitting different color temperature lights is disclosed. At dusk the light-emitting unit is automatically turned on for a first level illumination with a low color temperature light featuring an aesthetic night view with the motion sensor being deactivated for a time duration, and then the light emitting unit is changed to a second level illumination and at the same time the motion sensor is activated, wherein when the motion sensor detects a motion intrusion, the light-emitting unit is instantly switched to perform a third level illumination with a a high light intensity and a high color temperature light. The color temperatures of the first level illumination and the third level illumination are respectively adjustable by simultaneously and reversely adjusting the electric powers respectively allocated to the two sets of LED loads.
Multi-level LED security light with motion sensor
A method of configuring a white LED light with a tunable diffused light color temperature, includes using a light-emitting unit configured with a first LED load emitting light with a first color temperature between 1800K and 3000K and a second LED load emitting light with a second color temperature between 4000K and 6500K, electrically connected in parallel; using a light diffuser to cover the first LED load and the second LED load to create a diffused light with a diffused light color temperature; using two semiconductor switching devices working in conjunction with a controller to respectively control a first electric power delivered to the first LED load and a second electric power delivered to the second LED load such that a total electric power of the light-emitting unit remains unchanged; and using at least one external control device to activate a selection of the diffused light color temperature.
Meter socket with tamper detection assembly
A meter socket with a tamper detection assembly is disclosed. The tamper detection assembly may include a light sensor that enables the detection of tampering caused by an energy thief removing the cover of the meter socket enclosure and/or removing the meter from the meter socket in an effort to access the power supply connectors and steal electricity. The tamper detection assembly may also include an acoustic sensor that enables the detection of tampering caused by an energy thief drilling, cutting, hammering, bending or otherwise attempting to violate the integrity of the meter socket enclosure in an effort to access the power supply connectors and steal electricity. The tamper detection assembly is preferably mounted within a mounting block of the meter socket so as to provide a secure source of power and communications for the assembly.
Lifestyle security light
A two-level LED security light includes a light-emitting unit comprising at least an LED load which may be turned on or turned off by a light sensing control unit. A motion sensing unit upon an intrusion detection activates the LED load to generate a high level illumination for a time length adjustable by a time setting unit. The LED load is operated in compliance with a power supply unit wherein a voltage V across each LED is confined in a range V.sub.th<V<V.sub.max, with V.sub.th a threshold voltage and V.sub.max a maximum voltage. The light-emitting unit may be configured with two LED lighting loads emitting lights with different color temperatures, wherein a power allocation circuitry may be installed to respectively distribute different electric powers to the two LED loads to manage a color temperature tuning scheme thru a light diffuser.
Lifestyle security light
A security light technology to configure an automatically setting timer used for selecting and operating a light-on duration activated by a motion sensor is disclosed. The disclosed uses a shutoff transition mode to eliminate a hassle or hardship caused by an unexpected shutoff of illumination. The shutoff transition mode also serves a communication interface between the motion sensor and an occupant remaining in a detection space such that the occupant can interrupt the shutoff transition mode. The disclosed uses a software algorithm to detect and learn the motion characteristics of occupants in the detection space and thereby to automatically set a timer to operate the light-on duration triggered by a motion intrusion. The disclosed also teaches a dual mode motion sensing light configured with a short timer to manage a pathway illumination and a long timer to manage an occupancy illumination bridged by the shutoff transition mode.
