NIGHT SECURITY ALARM SYSTEM
A night security alarm system for a home, such as a recreational vehicle or a caravan, which night security alarm system includes: a first detector adapted to detect movement inside the home; a second detector adapted to detect opening of a door connecting the inside and the outside of the home; a third detector adapted to detect movement outside the home; and a control unit configured to automatically deactivate the night security alarm system if the first detector detects movement inside the home and then the second detector detects opening of the door and then the third detector detects movement outside the home.
Systems and methods for monitoring remote installations
A system for monitoring a petrochemical installation is disclosed. The system can include an optical imaging system comprising an array of optical detectors. The system can comprise processing electronics configured to process image data detected by the optical imaging system. The processing electronics can be configured to detect a target species based at least in part on the processed image data. The processing electronics can further be configured to, based on a detected amount of the target species, transmit an alarm notification to an external computing device over a communications network indicating that the target species has been detected at the petrochemical installation.
Method and system for using data packet transmission to determine compliance with protocols
One or more computing devices, systems, and/or methods for determining a time-length of an action are provided. For example, a first event may be detected. Responsive to detecting the first event, a first inquiry may be transmitted in a first direction, using a first device. The first inquiry may be received by a second device. Responsive to receiving the first inquiry, a first reply data packet, comprising an identification number associated with the second device, may be transmitted, using the second device, to the first device. A second event may be detected. Responsive to detecting the second event, a second inquiry may be transmitted in a second direction, using a third device. The second inquiry may be received by the second device. Responsive to receiving the second inquiry, a second reply data packet, comprising the identification number, may be transmitted, using the second device, to the third device.

NIR motion detection system and method
A motion sensor for detection motion of humans is provided. The motion sensor contains a near infrared (NIR) low resolution image sensor that captures image frames in the near infrared spectrum and a sensor that detects the amount of visible light. In addition, a processor is connected to the visible light sensor and the NIR motion sensor. The processor is configured to receive the amount of visible light from the visible light sensor and the images from the NIR low resolution image sensor. The processor is further configured to compare the image frames to detect motion; the sensitivity of the detection of motion is determined by the amount of visible light detected by the visible light sensor. The output has two or modes based on the detection of motion by the processor.
METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING HOUSING OF RADIATION DETECTION CASSETTE
Provided is a method for manufacturing a housing of a radiation detection cassette that can appropriately form a recess without a housing material depositing on an end mill or the like, in a case where a recess is formed by working the housing material formed of an alloy containing Mg and Li. A method for manufacturing a housing of a radiation detection cassette that houses a radiation detector in the housing includes preparing a housing material that is formed of an alloy containing Mg and Li and contains 0.1 mass % or more of Li, forming a recess using a working method other than cutting work on a surface of the housing material, and performing cutting work on the formed recess to shape the recess.

CATALYTIC CONVERTER ALARM SYSTEM
A catalytic converter alarm includes a housing and mounted thereto are a motion sensor on a first side of the housing, one or more magnets opposite the motion sensor, and a speaker. A controller is mounted within the housing and is coupled to the motion sensor and to the speaker, the controller being configured to cause the speaker to output a sound in response to motion detected by the motion sensor. The controller may output a sound of a first duration in response to the motion and output a sound of a second duration in response to motion of the motion continuing for a threshold time. Operation of the catalytic converter alarm may be controlled by a wireless remote.

Low power gunshot detection
Techniques for low power gunshot detection are disclosed. Infrared information is collected using a gunshot sensor device. The infrared information is collected using mid-infrared band sensing to provide motion detection. Additional infrared information is buffered using the gunshot sensor device. The additional infrared information is collected using near-infrared band sensing. The buffering is enabled by the motion detection. Acoustic information is collected using the gunshot sensor device. The collecting acoustic information is enabled by the motion detection. A gunshot is detected using the gunshot sensor device. The detecting is based on the additional infrared information and the acoustic information. The detecting includes monitoring the acoustic information to identify a high-intensity gunshot sound and correlating the high-intensity gunshot sound to the infrared information that was buffered. The gunshot sensor device uses cable-free communication to a network and notifies the network of a possible gunshot occurrence.
