ANTIMICROBIAL GARMENT TO WEAR DURING SURGERY AND AS PART OF A SHOULDER IMMOBILIZER SYSTEM AFTER SURGERY
A garment for a person to wear during surgery comprising: an unapplied position where the garment is not applied to a person; an applied position where the garment is applied to the person; a length sufficiently long for the garment to wrap laterally around a thorax of a person and under arms of the person when the garment takes the applied position; a width sufficiently wide for the garment to cover a breast area of the thorax of the person and at least a portion of an abdomen of the person when the garment takes the applied position; and an exterior surface with an antimicrobial coating applied to the exterior surface; wherein, the antimicrobial coating includes a silane quaternary ammonium ion or salt thereof. The silane quaternary ammonium ion or salt thereof is one or more of: 3-(trimethoxysilyl)propyldimethyloctadecyl ammonium ion, 3-(trimethoxysilyl)propyldimethyloctadecyl ammonium chloride, 3-(trihydroxysilyl)propyldimethyloctadecyl ammonium ion, or 3-(trihydroxysilyl)propyldimethyloctadecyl ammonium chloride.
Upper Extremity Braces
A brace for restricting the movement of a shoulder joint, the brace including a trunk module attachable to a human body, wherein the trunk module includes a strap for attaching the brace to the body; and at least one first part of a locking mechanism; a forearm module pivotable relative to the trunk module, the forearm module further including a second part of a locking mechanism capable of engaging and disengaging with said first part of the locking mechanism; and a posterior upper arm support attached to the trunk module in a fixed position; wherein in a first orientation the at least one first part of the locking mechanism is engaged with the second part of the locking mechanism; and wherein in a second orientation the at least one first part of the locking mechanism is disengaged from the second part of the locking mechanism.
Upper extremity braces
A brace for restricting the movement of a shoulder joint, the brace including a trunk module attachable to a human body, wherein the trunk module includes a strap for attaching the brace to the body; and at least one first part of a locking mechanism; a forearm module pivotable relative to the trunk module, the forearm module further including a second part of a locking mechanism capable of engaging and disengaging with the at least one first part of the locking mechanism; and a posterior upper arm support attached to the trunk module in a fixed position; wherein in a first orientation the at least one first part of the locking mechanism is engaged with the second part of the locking mechanism; and wherein in a second orientation the at least one first part of the locking mechanism is disengaged from the second part of the locking mechanism.
Hand cover
A hand cover includes a protective housing secured to an adjustment mechanism. The protective housing inhibits contact between the hand and the external environment. The adjustment mechanism secures the hand cover to the user. An optional upper access aperture provides air circulation and access to the hand. An optional lateral access aperture also provides access to the hand. An optional positioning mechanism helps maintain the hand cover in place. Attachment anchors for restraints or exercise bands may be provided and devices for orienting and securing IV lines may be provided.
Systems, Methods, And Devices For Tremor Reduction
A dynamically adjustable wearable therapeutic system. The system can include a first wearable item worn on a first portion of a body and a second wearable item worn on the second portion of the body. The first wearable item can determine bodily forces associated with first movements of a first portion of a body and the second wearable item can determine bodily forces associated with second movements of a second portion of the body. Also, the system can include the first wearable item applying opposing forces and the second wearable item applying opposing forces to the first portion and the second portion of the body, respectively.
DISPOSABLE, WRIST SECURING DEVICE FOR USE IN THE EMERGENCY MEDICAL FIELD
A wrist-securing device is provided. The wrist-securing device has two coextensive straps joined together along a midportion so that the resulting four end portions may pivot about the midportion. The joined midportion defines two opposing ends, a first end and a second end, each end having upper and lower straps movable relative to each other. The upper and lower straps of each end can wrap about the upper and lower surfaces, respectively, of the wrist of human wearer. Each upper and lower strap provides upper and lower fasteners to removably connect so as to secure the upper and lower straps wrapped about the wrist. Thus, each end of the wrist-securing device may secure each of the wrists of an unresponsive patient receiving emergency medical services in such a manner as to not harm the patient or occlude their distal circulation.
Selectively adjustable arm and shoulder support
A contouring arm and shoulder support is provided that is secured to a supporting and stabilizing belt. The support system comprises a belt support and an arm support that are operatively interconnected and yet easily disassociated. The arm support provides dynamic support that allows the patient to move their injured arm if needed.
Dynamic joint stabilizer
A reusable joint stabilizer for application to a joint of a patient, the stabilizer including a web having a pattern selected to provide a desired stability and restriction in the range of motion of the joint, the web being securable about the joint of the patient and formed of a plurality of flexible and non-stretchable strips interconnected in a desired pattern and a plurality of non-adhesive and reusable flexible tacky strips aligned with and connected to at least selected ones of the non-stretchable strips for positioning adjacent to skin of the patient proximate the joint. The tacky strips transfer forces between the exterior of the web and the skin of the patient contacted by the tacky strips to provide a desired stability of the joint and a desired restriction in the range of motion of the joint.
Shoulder sling and pillow system
A shoulder sling and pillow system that will house a beverage and a cellphone. The system is designed to ergonomically fit around the waist of a user and the system will also allow a cellphone to be charged. The system will use removable straps that will attach to the foam pillow and to the brace of the shoulder sling and pillow system.
Extremity stabilization system for medical procedures
A system including method and device with attachments and elements as a means of enhancing vascular access or other medical procedures, such as wound care or diagnostics, or for general medical purposes by effectively stabilizing patients' upper or lower extremities in a safer, more reliable, less intrusive and less costly manner. One embodiment indicates a rigid device with attachments for securing and immobilizing the rigid device and a shape and inflatable pressure cuffs (211) or bands for stabilizing the extremity to the device by eliminating or reducing the number of involved medical personnel, reducing risk of injury or trauma such as medical adhesive related skin injuries or contusions and eliminating or reducing the need for sedation to accomplish the medical procedure especially in children, infants, neonates, and preemies. Other embodiments include multiple sizes, shapes, dimensions, materials and elements necessary to accomplish safe stabilization of an extremity.
