Adjuster for use with flexible restraints
A harness system includes one or more harness assemblies. Each harness assembly includes a flexible restraint formed of a coated fabric. An adjuster is provided to adjust an effective length of the flexible restraint. The adjuster includes a frame, a restraint guide, and a cam.
Protective and Exercise Hand Restraint System and Apparatus
Embodiments disclosed herein offer protective restraint of the hand by securing it with a wrist tie to a padded transparent hard-shell hand restraint with wrist tie slots, multiple ventilation holes, a detachable flexible soft under wrap and a hinging ball-bearing style attachment point for optional attachment to a restraint arm rod and staff-directed upward displacement for enhanced access to the hand, and slots for a resistance band tie for enhanced exercise and intermediate level of restraint and a rigid tie.
Patient Securement System for the Surgical Trendelenburg Position
A patient securing overlay is provided that includes a sheet of fabric for supporting a patient's torso on a surgical table. The sheet of fabric has an upper surface configured to face the patient and a lower surface configured to face a surgical table mattress or underbody support. The sheet of fabric includes friction enhancing elements applied to at least a portion of the upper surface thereof. The sheet of fabric can include an extension at a foot end of the sheet of fabric that provides material to be tucked under a foot end of the surgical table mattress or underbody support for securing the foot end of the sheet of fabric to the surgical table mattress or underbody support. The extension can include one or more friction enhancing elements.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR RESTRAINT ANCHOR
An anti-ligature restraint device is provided. The device includes a tub secured to a mounting location. A sealing element is inserted into the tub. The sealing element includes a restraint element slot to which a restraint is secured when the device is in an open position. The sealing element is disposed entirely with the tub in the closed position. A spring within the tub provides resistance to the sealing element as it is pushed into the tub and rotated to secure the sealing element within the tub. A lid lock secures the sealing element in the closed position. The device may be used in the concrete floor of a hospital room. In the open position, the device secures patient restraints. In the closed position, the device is flush with its mounting surface and locked, thereby preventing patient tampering or access to harmful elements thereof.
Bi-Wing Arm Support System
An apparatus for moving a patient on a pad and holding the pad in place on a surgical table. An upper member and a lower member having wings extending from opposite sides are configured and arranged to secure the position of the arms. In this position the arm has been securely wrapped without use of the patient's body weight, and the arm can be easily unwrapped by reversing the steps above, without the necessity of repositioning the patient (to get their body weight off of the device or a draw sheet), for access to the arm during the surgical procedure. Access may be necessary for anesthesia monitoring lines, invasive arterial lines, non-invasive blood pressure cuffs, SPO2 finger probes, and intravenous lines needed for medications and fluid delivery.
WRAP SYSTEM FOR IMMOBILIZING A PERSON
A wrap system for immobilizing a spine of a person, including a wrap dimensioned to be snugly securable around a person and extending from at least the upper torso to at least below knees of the person to restrict independent movement of limbs of the person. The wrap includes a support structure including at least one fluid chamber positionable along a posterior side of the person when the wrap is secured around the person. The fluid chamber is reopenably sealable to enclose a fluid therein, the support structure immobilizing relative movement of a spine of the person.
Removable ligature resistant restraint ring receptacle
The removable restraint ring receptacle comprises a base for attachment to a furniture piece. The base adapted to receive a ligature resistant fastener. A restraint ring engaged by the fastener. The ligature resistant fastener may be a ball pin lock having a conical or rounded head. The head bearing against the restraint ring. The ligature resistant fastener further comprising a collar adapted to extend from the head to the base. The collar comprising a tapered outside surface adapted to span the gap between the head and the base when the ring is removed thereby providing a tapered protrusion to prevent the attachment of a ligature or snagging of clothes.
Tissue retention systems and methods
A tissue retention belt for maintaining tissue in a position that permits access to a body portion of a patient for a medical procedure includes a first anchor zone, a second anchor zone, and a tension zone. The tension zone extends between the first anchor zone and the second anchor zone and defines a tension axis that extends in a direction of loading to be applied to retained tissue. The tension zone may include an auxiliary anchor zone that includes a removable non-adhesive and an adhesive surface configured to adhere to a patient's skin and provide auxiliary anchoring for maintaining tissue in position.
SURGICAL PLATFORM SYSTEM
A surgical platform system including a first platform portion, a second platform portion, and a support portion is provided. The support platform supports the first platform portion, and can be moveable relative to a surgical robotic system supporting the second platform portion. With the support portion and the first platform portion positioned relative to the surgical robotic system, the first platform portion supporting a first portion of the patient and the second platform portion supporting a second portion of the patient can be adjusted relative to one another to correspondingly adjust positions/orientations of the first portion and the second portion of the patient.
PATIENT IMMOBILIZATION DEVICE, SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR IMMOBILIZING A PATIENT
The invention relates to a patient immobilization apparatus (100) comprising a planar element (105) made of a non-woven fabric. The planar element (105) has an elongate middle section (110) and a plurality of arms (120; 130), which extend out laterally on both sides of the middle section (110). The patient immobilization apparatus (100) can be provided to the end user, preferably in a folded state. In the folded state, each of the arms (120; 130) is folded laterally on the elongate middle section (110). Parts of the elongate middle section (110), having the arms (120; 130) folded laterally thereon, are advantageously additionally foldable onto each other in the longitudinal direction. Each arm (120; 130) can be folded laterally in part on itself before it is folded laterally on the elongate middle section (110).
