PERSONAL MONITORING SYSTEM
Systems and methods for improved personal monitoring systems and devices include the provision of sensor data from a personal monitoring device to a server system. The sensor device is provided to the server system at a first rate and subsequently analyzed by the server system. If the server system determines that a particular condition is met based on the sensor data the server system transmits a reconfiguration message to the personal monitoring device that causes the personal monitoring device to automatically begin providing data at a second rate. Among other things, the condition resulting in generation and transmission of the reconfiguration message may include a location-based condition (e.g., crossing a geographic boundary), a change in an environmental condition (e.g., temperature or air quality), or a movement-based condition (e.g., an acceleration indicative of a fall or collision).

A system for monitoring an individual within predetermined facilities in order to determine whether there is a need for setting an alert is provided. The system includes: a personal module to be worn by the monitored individual, the personal module including at least one motion sensor; at least one node module, with which the personal module is arranged to communicate; storage; and at least one processing device. The at least one processing device may be arranged to: receive sensor data from the at least one motion sensor in the personal module; determine whether the received sensor data indicates a specific alert state among a plurality of predetermined alert states, the alert states including at least a FALL alert state, to be used if a probable fall has been detected for the monitored individual, and an OUT OF BED alert state, to be used if it has been detected that the monitored individual is probably getting out of bed; determine the distance between the personal module and the at least one node module; determine the location of the personal module within the facilities based at least on the determined distance together with information retrieved from the storage regarding the layout of the facilities within which the monitoring of the individual takes place; and set an alert based at least on whether the received sensor data indicates an alert state and whether the determined location fulfils a predetermined location condition, indicating whether the individual is located in a certain room, such as e.g. the bedroom.
User interfaces to configure a thermal imaging system
A thermal imaging system including at least one thermal imaging device, a server, and at least one mobile device. The thermal imaging device captures thermal images of an environment. The server applies computer vision techniques to the thermal images, detects events of a predetermined type, and generates notifications of the events of predetermined types detected from the thermal images. The mobile device runs a mobile application that is configured to receive the notifications, present user interfaces, receive user annotations of the notifications in the user interfaces, and transmit the annotations to the server. According to the annotations, the server adjusts parameters used in the application of the computer vision techniques and in the generation of the notifications.
Information processing system and information processing method
An information processing system includes: a receiver that receives a signal transmitted by a call button including a push button, and a communicator which transmits the signal outside in response to detection of an operation performed on the push button by a user; and an outputter that outputs (i) first notification information, when the signal is received in a first time period within a predetermined period, and (ii) second notification information different from the first notification information, when the signal is received in a second time period within the predetermined period which is different from the first time period.
Multi-zone bed pad having high-speed detection of bed exit
A sensor pad (105) is adapted to be positioned under or atop a mattress of a patients bed (205) as part of a monitoring system that provides a signal to a caregiver when the patient (305) rises from the bed (205). The pad (105) defines a total area, and wherein the total area is divided into a plurality of zones (Z1, Z2, Z3, Z4, Z5). A timing of issuance of an alarm triggered by the pad (105) varies based upon which zone (Z1, Z2, Z3, Z4, Z5) of the pad (105) a patient (305) is detected to be located upon.
Updating object inverse kinematics from multiple radio signals
In one embodiment, a service receives signal characteristic data indicative of characteristics of wireless signals received by one or more antennas located in a particular area. The service identifies an object in the particular area, based on the received signal characteristic data. The service associates the identified object with an object kinematics model. The service updates the object kinematics model over time by applying Bayesian inference to changes in the signal characteristic data.
System and method for monitoring an individual
ACTION RECOGNITION METHOD AND APPARATUS, COMPUTER STORAGE MEDIUM, AND COMPUTER DEVICE
An action recognition method includes: obtaining original feature submaps of each of temporal frames on a plurality of convolutional channels by using a multi-channel convolutional layer; calculating, by using each of the temporal frames as a target temporal frame, motion information weights of the target temporal frame on the convolutional channels according to original feature submaps of the target temporal frame and original feature submaps of a next temporal frame, and obtaining motion information feature maps of the target temporal frame on the convolutional channels according to the motion information weights; performing temporal convolution on the motion information feature maps of the target temporal frame to obtain temporal motion feature maps of the target temporal frame; and recognizing an action type of a moving object in image data of the target temporal frame according to the temporal motion feature maps of the target temporal frame on the convolutional channels.
