OSTOMY MANAGEMENT DEVICE
An ostomy management device (100) including an ostomy port (102) insertable inside a stoma (202) on a patient's abdomen. The ostomy port (102) includes an outer flange (204) placed at periphery of the stoma (202). The outer flange (204) includes a collapsible chamber (210) to collect instilling fluid in a non-operating state of the outer flange (204). A fixation element (208) to anchor the ostomy management device (100) inside an intestine (214). The fixation element (208) is to expand after displacement of the instilling fluid contained in the outer flange (204) to the fixation element (208). An intermediate channel (206) to transport body waste to the stoma (202). A stoma plug (106), attached to the outer flange (204), to cover an opening in the outer flange (204) to stop the body waste from flowing out from the stoma (202) during an operating state of the outer flange (204).
Lid for an ostomy implant
A lid for an ostomy implant is provided. A base includes an attachment means for attachment to the implant and a sliding part. The sliding part is arranged such that when the sliding part is slid along a first sliding route, the sliding part causes the lid to be attachable to or detachable from the implant, and when the sliding part is slid along a second sliding route, the sliding part causes the lid to open, for evacuating a stoma to which the ostomy implant is connected, and closed, for preventing leaks from the stoma, while the lid remains attached to the implant.
DISPOSABLE WEARABLE URINARY COLLECTION APPARATUS
A urinary receptacle includes an elongate, main body having a closed upper end and lower end; a tubular port connected to the main body and which to receives a user's penis therein in a fluid-tight manner, a urine collection receptacle connectable to the lower end of the main body receives and stores the urine therein; and a fastener secures the main body to the user or a garment worn by the user. The components are formed of flexible, waterproof material and are collapse flat against a user's body when not in use. An end opening of tubular port is flush with the wall of the main body, the port projects into the main body from the end opening, and an elastic material is provided around a circumference of a receiving end of the port which urges the circumference radially inward of the tubular port.
VENTRICULOSTOMY PATCH SYSTEM AND METHOD
A ventriculostomy patch system is disclosed herein. The ventriculostomy patch system including a base-ring, and a window assembly. The base-ring includes a circular body, with the circular-body having an outer-surface, an inner-surface, a top-surface, and a bottom-surface. The bottom-surface includes a catheter-notch; the catheter-notch is configured for removably retaining a ventriculostomy catheter. The base-ring further includes at least two dome-tabs, each of the at least two dome-tabs located upon the outer surface of the base-ring. Preferably, the base-ring is constructed from anti-microbial materials. The window assembly includes an external-ring and a window, where the window assembly is removably affixable to the top-surface of the base-ring.
Parachute ostomy pouch
An ostomy appliance is sufficiently small to provide the user with a desired level of discretion, and can also provide an expanded collection capacity to accommodate sudden outflows of stomal discharge.
Ostomy device
An ostomy device (2) for attachment (coupling) to a base plate (6) is disclosed. The ostomy device (2) comprises an attachment ring (8) configured for attachment to the base plate (6). The ostomy device (2) further comprises elements (10, 12, 16) provided with means (18, 48, 78, 80) configured to be detachably attached to the attachment ring (8), and comprises a shield (60) provided with a blocking element (16) for blocking the stoma (20), wherein the blocking element (16) is shaped and configured to be brought into engagement with a collecting element (28) and a therein placed distal part of the stoma (20).
UROSTOMY BAG AND ABSORBENT INSERT SYSTEM
Embodiments of the disclosed invention comprise a urostomy bag and an absorbent insert system, as well as methods for use. The urostomy bag comprises a storage bag having a primary aperture for interacting with a stoma on a device wearer, and a secondary aperture having a closure to seal and unseal the secondary aperture. The absorbent insert comprises a water-permeable outer layer that contains an absorbent core. The core includes a gelatinizing agent configured to make urine gelatinous. The absorbent insert is insertable into, and removable from, the inside of the storage bag via the secondary aperture. Methods for use of the disclosed urostomy system comprise attaching the urostomy bag to a wearer, inserting an unused absorbent insert into the secondary aperture, wearing the system, and replacing the used absorbent insert when required.
LID FOR MEDICAL IMPLANT
A lid for a medical implant has a first part, a second part and engaging means. The second part is rotatable relative to the first part such that, in use, rotation of the second part relative to the first part causes the engaging means to engage with and attach the lid to the implant.
Devices and Systems for Urine Collection
A urine collection system includes a first fluid collection device with (i) a first internal cavity, (ii) a first inlet in fluid communication with the first internal cavity, and (iii) a first outlet in fluid communication with the first internal cavity. The urine collection system further includes a tube in fluid communication with the first outlet. The urine collection system further includes a second fluid collection device with (i) a second internal cavity, (ii) a permeable membrane positioned within the second internal cavity, thereby separating the second internal cavity into a first chamber and a second chamber, (iii) a second inlet in fluid communication with the first internal cavity, and (iv) a second outlet in fluid communication with the second inlet of the second fluid collection device.
AUTOMATIC FLUID DRAINAGE DEVICE
An automatic drainage device comprises a drainage container separated by a partition plate into a fluid storage cavity provided with a connecting pipe and a fluid discharge channel provided with a fluid discharge outlet. The partition plate is provided with a fluid drainage outlet that connects the fluid storage cavity to the fluid discharge channel. The device further comprises a movable gasket disposed below the partition plate for closing the fluid drainage outlet, and a control device comprising a remote control receiving module or a control device configured to monitor a liquid level in the fluid storage cavity, to move the movable gasket to open or close the fluid drainage outlet. The automatic drainage device remotely activates the control device by a remote control receiving module or by monitoring the status of the liquid level, to control the opening and closing of the fluid drainage outlet.
