Disclosed is a collecting bag configured to collect urine or stomal fluids from a stoma of a user, particularly a urostomy. Further discloses is an anti-reflux component to prevent reflux of collected fluids from a collecting volume to an inlet opening of a collecting bag. The anti-reflux component includes interior, proximal and distal contoured sheets connected to each other such as to define a passage between them towards the collecting volume. The sheets are further attached to each other to define two or more non linear connection zones.

The first deformable reinforcing member is attached to the first wall, and is deformable by manual application of pressure to lateral edges of the first deformable reinforcing member so as to radially distend the outlet opening. The first deformable reinforcing member includes at least one first notch formed in at least one lateral edge thereof. Each notch is configured to receive a portion of a user's digit to facilitate manual application of pressure to said lateral edges.

The improved urine collection bag assembly of the present invention features a one-way flow control valve to prevent the backflow of urine into a urinary catheter and subsequently, into a patient's bladder. The improved urine collection bag also features at a lower end a urine sampling valve. In the exemplary embodiment, the one-way flow control valve is a flap style valve and the sampling valve is a slider style valve.
