PROVIDING INFORMATION TO NAVIGATE TO A PARKING SPACE PREFERRED BY AN OPERATOR OF A VEHICLE
A system for providing information to navigate to a parking space preferred by an operator of a vehicle can include a processor and a memory. The memory can store a preliminary operations module and a communications module. The preliminary operations module can include instructions that cause the processor to obtain, for the operator: (1) a first model for a first duration between a commencement of a parking space identification process and a first threshold and (2) a second model for a second duration between the first threshold and a second threshold. The communications module can include instructions that cause the processor to communicate, to a component of the vehicle for an action, information to navigate to the parking space. The parking space can be identified, in response to a current time being within: (1) the first duration, by the first model and (2) the second duration, by the second model.
COMMUNICATING INFORMATION ABOUT PARKING SPACE AVAILABILITY
A system for communicating information about parking space availability can include a processor and a memory. The memory can store a calculations module and a communications module. The calculations module can include instructions that cause the processor to: (1) obtain a current count of spaces available for parking in an area designated for parking and (2) calculate, based on the current count and information, a revised count of the spaces. The information can indicate that a second vehicle has moved into or out of the area. The communications module can include instructions that cause the processor to: (1) receive, from a first vehicle, the information and (2) cause the revised count to be communicated to a component of a vehicle, in a vicinity of the area, for an action to be performed. The first vehicle can be parked. The information can be received via a sensor of the first vehicle.
INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS, INFORMATION PROCESSING SYSTEM, AND INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD
An information processing system includes a terminal worn by a user riding on a vehicle or a terminal on the vehicle, and an information processing apparatus. The terminal acquires position information. The information processing apparatus includes a processor configured to acquire the position information acquired by the terminal as position information of the vehicle, and identify a first parking slot in which the vehicle is parked from the position information of a plurality of parking slots included in a parking lot and the position information of the vehicle. The terminal worn by the user or the terminal on the vehicle acquires the position information by using a first signal from a first satellite and a second signal from a second satellite.
VEHICLE AND CONTROL METHOD THEREOF
Provided is a control method of a vehicle comprising a communicator configured to receive emergency vehicle information from outside, the control method including: receiving the emergency vehicle information and acquiring an emergency route of an emergency vehicle from the emergency vehicle information; comparing the emergency route with a first movement path of the vehicle; and changing from the first movement path to a second movement path, when at least a portion of the emergency route is identical to at least a portion of the first movement path as a result of the comparison.
Parking management and communication of parking information
Techniques and examples pertaining to parking management and communication of parking information are described. A processor of a computing apparatus may obtain sensor data regarding a parking lot from a parking lot controller. The processor may analyze the sensor data. The processor may receive, from a client, a request for assistance with parking at the parking lot. The processor may provide, to the client, information on a location and status of a space (e.g., open space) in the parking lot, a path to the space, or both.
Personalized insurance systems
Personalized insurance systems, including vehicle-based devices and modules, insurance system servers, personal mobile devices, and other computing devices, may operate individually or in combination to determine and implement personalized vehicle insurance policies. Such policies may be driver-specific, time-specific, vehicle-specific, and/or driving-trip specific. Various driver data, vehicle data, and driving trip data may be received and analyzed in order to determine usage-based insurance parameters for vehicle driving and non-driving activities. Personalized vehicle insurance policies may be presented to and accepted by drivers, after which the drivers and one or more associated vehicles may be monitored to detect and store vehicle usage data in accordance with the personalized insurance policy.
Parking monitoring and assistance for transports
An example operation may include one or more of parking a transport in an initial space, determining an average time of an event attended by at least one occupant associated with the transport, moving the transport to at least one other space when an elapsed time of the event is less than the average time and when the at least one other space is available and closer to an event location than the initial space, and moving the transport to a final space when the event is completed, and the final space is a location of a device associated with the at least one occupant.
PLAN PROPOSAL DEVICE, SYSTEM, VEHICLE, AND PLAN PROPOSAL METHOD
A plan proposal device includes a controller configured to predict, as a user action, an action of a first user in a certain period, including parking a vehicle in a parking lot shared by a plurality of users including the first user, generate proposal data for proposing an action plan in the certain period based on an obtained prediction result and information on the parking lot in the certain period, and output the generated proposal data.
Method, apparatus, and computer program product for identifying street parking based on aerial imagery
A method, apparatus, and computer program product are provided for identifying on-street parking from aerial imagery. A method may include: receiving an aerial image of a geographic region; applying an object detection algorithm to the received aerial image to identify vehicle objects within the aerial image; identifying one or more clusters of vehicle objects within the aerial image; generating cluster lines for the one or more clusters of vehicle objects; map matching the cluster lines for the one or more clusters of vehicle objects to a map of the geographic region; and identifying on-street parking for a road segment in response to a cluster line of the cluster lines for the one or more clusters of vehicle objects satisfying predetermined criteria with respect to the road segment.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR TRACKING EGRESS TIMES FROM A PARKING FACILITY AND PROVIDING ACTION RECOMMENDATIONS
A method includes receiving vehicle data for a plurality of vehicles in a parking facility over time, the vehicle data including a time t1 indicating when each of the vehicles leaves its corresponding parking spot in the parking facility, and a time t2 indicating when each of the plurality of vehicles reaches an exit of the parking facility. An egress time is determined for each of the plurality of vehicles based at least in part on the corresponding times t1 and t2. A timestamp is assigned to each of the egress times, resulting in timestamped egress times. A current egress time of the parking facility is estimated based at least in part on the timestamped egress times. An action recommendation is based at least in part on the current egress time of the parking facility and is outputted for subsequent viewing by the driver of the particular vehicle.
