APPARATUS AND METHOD OF CONDUCTING MEDICAL EVALUATION OF ADD/ADHD
20190298246 · 2019-10-03 ·

A diagnostic method and apparatus facilitating a test for diagnosing attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADD/ADHD) in a person is disclosed, which in many embodiments includes a visual problem solving test involving distinctive feature analysis. It facilitates making objective observations of multiple components of attention and executive functioning. This test in some embodiments consists of a 24 individual test items with plates of geometric faces. The test requires the subjects to select two identical faces out a field of faces that progressively increase in number and complexity. The geometric faces could instead be graphic faces, stick figures, geometric shapes or other visual stimuli in other embodiments. Correct/incorrect scores and response times are compared to normative data and coupled with structured behavioral observations to provide objective evidence of the subject's attentional and executive functioning status.

MULTIDIMENSIONAL ASSESSMENT SCORING USING MACHINE LEARNING

Systems and methods for enhanced monitoring of learning progressions include obtaining a first set of examinations and a first set of responses corresponding to the first set of examinations, a first set of examination assessments, training a machine-learning multidimensional scoring model based on the first set of examinations, the first set of responses, and the first set of examination assessments, generating a confusion matrix based on the first set of examination assessments, determining a performance assessment value from the confusion matrix, and determining that the multidimensional scoring model has been sufficiently trained if the performance assessment value meets or exceeds a selected threshold value.

Method for facilitating contextual vocabulary acquisition through association

Vocabulary acquisition of lists of words drawn from standardized tests are facilitated through contiguity of audio, visual and kinesthetic stimuli. The positive association of each word and a meaning of the word is achieved by separately displaying each word and stimuli on a graphical user interface of an electronic device which simultaneously or immediately successively plays the audio segment and prompts the user to physically interact with the electronic device. Through an ordered combination of steps, the method facilitates rapid verifiable contextual vocabulary acquisition via two levels of assessment testing, one in which the knowledge of the user is potentially aided by the correlation between the audio and visual segments and kinesthetic features, and one which is not.
