SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR VEHICLE SIMULATION
Systems and methods for material handling vehicle simulation are provided. In one aspect, a material handling vehicle simulation system includes a material handling vehicle having a plurality of controls operable to manipulate the material handling vehicle to perform a desired operation, and a vehicle controller configured to selectively transition between a standard mode where the vehicle controller is configured to instruct the vehicle to perform standard operating tasks and a simulation mode. The material handling simulation system further includes a simulation kit having a simulation display, and a simulation controller in communication with the plurality of controls and the simulation display. When the vehicle controller is in the simulation mode, the simulation controller is configured to simulate operation of the material handling vehicle on the simulation display in response to manipulation of at least one of the plurality of controls.

A driving simulation system is configured to train a driver. The system includes a simulated driver cockpit which includes a steering wheel and at least one video display providing a simulated driving environment to the driver. The system further includes a computerized simulation control module including programming configured to operate a driving simulation through the simulated driver cockpit. The driving simulation includes driving rules. The programming is further configured to monitor performance of the driver during the driving simulation, compare the performance of the driver to the driving rules, and while the driving simulation is still in operation, provide untextualized feedback to the driver regarding performance of the driver.

Driving rating information for other vehicles in an external environment of a vehicle can be provided. The external environment of the vehicle can be sensed to detect the other vehicles. Driving rating information for the other vehicles can be received, such as directly from the other vehicles or from a remote driving ratings source. The driving rating information for the other vehicles can be presented within the vehicle. Based on such driving rating information, a vehicle occupant can decide whether or not to lead or follow a particular vehicle in the external environment. If a selection of one of the identified one or more vehicles is received from a vehicle occupant, the vehicle can be caused to implement one or more driving maneuvers relative to the selected vehicle.

Apparatus (11) for detecting, diagnosing and exercising an individual's functionalities, comprising: a plurality of emitters (15) emitting optical stimuli perceivable by an individual (13); a control unit (19) adapted to control the activation of the emitters (15) and programmed for activating the emitters (15) according to at least one parameter (P) and in accordance with a predetermined sequence (Q); a memory unit (21) in which predetermined sequences (Q) for the activation of the emitters (15) are stored, each sequence (Q) being identified by a univocal sequence reference and comprising the references of a group of emitters (15) belonging to the plurality of emitters and arranged along a path corresponding to the movement to be induced in the eyes of the individual (13); a sensor (31) “Eyetracker” capable of generating an electrical signal indicative of eye movements for detecting eye movements of an individual (13); a processing unit (25) operationally connected to the control unit (19) and programmed for processing the signal, for calculating the time (T.sub.C) elapsed between the activation of an emitter (15) and the moment at which the individual's eyes become fixed on said or another emitter (15) of the sequence, for comparing the time (T.sub.C) with a predetermined threshold (S.sub.1) and for selecting, according to the value resulting from the comparison, the value of the at least one parameter (P) and a predetermined sequence (Q) out of the stored sequences (Q) to be performed in a subsequent working cycle of the apparatus.
