MEDICAL DEVICE FOR CONTROLLING THE RELEASE OF WASTE CONTENT FROM A SUBJECT, USES AND METHOD THEREOF
The present disclosure relates to a compact medical device and method for controlling the release of waste content from an external stoma of a subject, comprising: a flange; wherein the flange comprises a vent hole and a vent cover for releasing gas waste content; an adhesive layer bound to the flange for attaching to the body of the subject; a displaceable cover for closing and opening the device, wherein the displaceable cover is configured to connect to the flange; an aperture configurated to surround the stoma for the release of waste content.
Ostomy Stoma Output Diversion Device
An ostomy output diversion device is used to cover and seal closely around a patient's stoma, to divert stoma effluent output through the device, through a drain tube and into a container or reservoir, temporarily eliminating the need of an adhesive-based ostomy pouching system. The ostomy output diversion device is placed over the person's stoma, with the base ring surrounding the peristomal skin, the adjustable inner tube is retracted until the base ring is centered over the stoma, the body support strap is then placed over the device to secure it to the patient's body, the inner tube with stoma-sized adapter is then extended over the stoma, the patient applies the desired pressure against the skin, then secures the stoma-sized adapter in place with the pressure adjustment lock. The device may also include an ostomy pouch mounting ring for attachment to an ostomy pouch, and a disposable receptacle.
BASE PLATE FOR A MEDICAL APPLIANCE, A MONITOR DEVICE AND A SYSTEM FOR A MEDICAL APPLIANCE
A base plate for an ostomy appliance, the base plate (4) comprises a top layer (208) defining a base plate plane; a first adhesive layer (200) adapted to adhere the base plate (4) to peristomal skin of a user; an electrode assembly (204); and a monitor interface (207) configured to electronically connect with the electrode assembly (204), where the monitor interface (207) comprises a coupling part (210) configured to form a releasably mechanically and/or electronically coupling between the base plate (4) and a monitor device (6); the coupling part (210) is configured to engage and/or disengage with the monitor device (6) allowing the monitor device (6) to be coupled to the base plate by a motion in a direction corresponding to an acute angle of 45 degrees or less relative to the base plate plane.
Ostomy collection and drainage system
An ostomy collection and drainage system includes an ostomy pouch (10) having an outer wall defining an internal collection area, an inlet opening (14) formed in the outer wall in fluid communication with the internal collection area and an outlet body (20) connected to the outer wall having an outlet opening extending therethrough in fluid communication with the internal collection area, the outlet body having one of a latch and a catch. The system further includes a closure (40) configured for removable coupling to the outlet body and an adapter (60) configured for removable coupling to the outlet body, the adapter having an adapter opening extending therethrough and the other of the latch and the catch. The adapter and the closure are interchangeably coupled to the outlet body such that in a first condition the adapter is coupled to the outlet body by way of engagement of the catch and the latch, and in a second condition the closure is coupled to the outlet body.
