A system is configured to provide Joint Terminal Attack Controller (JTAC) training using one or more of augmented reality (AR) devices, virtual reality (VR) devices, or other devices. The system may generate one or more AR elements (such as one or more of an enemy combatant, an aerial device, an ordnance, a ground vehicle, or a structure). The system may produce AR data that can be provided to one or more AR headsets and may produce VR scene data corresponding to the AR data that can be provided to one or more VR headsets. Additionally, the system may detect a cap or cover on a device, determine data related to the device from the cap, and present visual data superimposed over the cap based on the determined data.

PROVIDING LOCALIZED JAMMING EFFECTS IN A TRAINING EXERCISE
20210328705 · 2021-10-21 · ·

A method for providing localized jamming effects includes using a processor onboard a vehicle to perform the steps of: receiving a jamming command to simulate a jamming effect on a particular sensor onboard the vehicle; and generating a jamming effect in a model of the particular sensor in response to the jamming command. The jamming effect in the model of the particular sensor simulates the jamming effect on the particular sensor being generated by an entity other than the vehicle.

VR emulator aboard aircraft

Systems and methods include providing a virtual reality (“VR”) flight teleport system that includes a master aircraft and a plurality of remote slave aircraft connected through a network. A flight emulator in the master aircraft allows a user in the master aircraft to “teleport” into a remote slave vehicle in order to observe and/or assume control of the remote slave aircraft. Motion of, orientation of, and/or forces acting on the remote stave vehicle are emulated to the user of the master vehicle through a pilot control interface, a motion-control seat, and a head-mounted display to provide real-time feedback to the user of the master aircraft. Inputs made via the pilot control interface of the flight emulator system in the master aircraft are transferred through the network into the flight control system of the remote slave vehicle to control operation of the remote slave vehicle.

Systems and methods for remotely operated machine training
11132919 · 2021-09-28 ·

The present disclosure describes systems and methods for training a user to control one or more simulated remotely operated machines. A network stream definition language file is used to identify and process simulated remotely operated machine data exchanged between a simulation computing device and a plurality of simulation stations, possibly being defined by many different Interface Control Documents (ICDs). Any exchange of simulated remotely operated machine data between the simulation computing device and a simulation station passes through a protocol gateway that implements the network stream definition language file. The protocol gateway is located at any point of the communication between the simulation computing device and the simulation station. Because the network stream definition language file configures the protocol gateway to process data between the simulation computing device and the plurality of simulation stations, each potentially having respective proprietary ICDs, only a single protocol gateway is necessary within the system.

Hypoxia Training Device

The present invention includes a device for hypoxia training including a breathable gas source; a mask in fluid communication with the breathable gas source; a mask-state detector that uses one or more criteria to determine if the mask is being worn by a subject, wherein the mask-state detector is capable of communicating an indication of a mask-off state or a mask-on state; a flowmeter in fluid communication with the mask and coupled to the mask-state detector; and a pressure regulator in fluid communication with the mask and with the breathable gas source, and coupled to the mask-state detector, wherein the pressure regulator sets a first pressure at the mask when the mask-state detector communicates an indication of a mask-off state or a second pressure at the mask when the mask-state detector communicates an indication of a mask-on state.
