A liner in a label-liner combination is provided with a die cut portion made in the liner. The die cut portion is aligned with at least one edge in a label and a front side of the liner is attached to a backside of the label. The die cut portion of the liner is adapted to be removed from the liner when the label is removed from the label-liner combination. Dimensions, and orientation, and a location of the die cut portion in the liner are adapted to allow the label to be removed from the label-liner combination and applied to a surface by digits of a hand without touching an adhesive coating on the backside of the label and adapted to maintain proper printer waste liner spool operations when the liner is wound after application of the label.

A combined primary label and secondary label comprises a first piece of paper, a first release coating disposed on a portion of the first piece of paper, a second piece of paper, a second release coating different from the first release coating and disposed on a portion of the second piece of paper. The combined primary and secondary label further comprises an adhesive layer disposed between the first and second pieces of paper such that (i) a primary label can be peeled away with at least some adhesive of the adhesive layer from the second release coating disposed on the portion of the second piece of paper, and (ii) a secondary label can be peeled away with at least some adhesive of the same adhesive layer from the first release coating disposed on the portion of the first piece of paper.

The label includes a label first portion having an adhesive surface, and a label second portion having an adhesive surface. The liner includes a liner first portion coupled to the label first portion, the liner first portion configured to be separable from the label first portion, and a liner second portion coupled to the label second portion. A cut is formed in the liner and positioned between the liner first portion and the liner second portion. The cut includes a first curved portion positioned at a first edge of the liner and a second curved portion positioned at a second edge of the liner.

In addition, the system includes a plurality of dots forming a two dimensional patterned array in the top layer, where each of the dots is removably attached to the substrate via the intermediary layer, and when removed expose the underlying first indicia of the top surface of the substrate to create a design element in the two dimensional patterned array.

A two-ply liner-label and liner-label-roll are provided. A front side of a liner is coated with a release coating. The liner also includes a plurality of die cut tabs that at least partially align with a second die cut label in the label. The backside of the label is coated with an adhesive material and applied to the front side of the liner to form a liner-label roll. The tabs remain affixed to their corresponding individual labels when the labels are removed for placement on packaging; thereby, leaving holes in the liner as the liner is wound into a waste-liner roll within an auto applicator machine.

A liner-label combination is provided for a tamper evident label. The combination includes a label substrate and a liner substrate. The label substrate includes label substrate die cuts that define a top portion, a middle portion, and a bottom portion for the label. The liner substrate includes liner substrate die cuts that correspond to the middle portion of the label. The top portion, middle portion, and bottom portion adapted to be separated from the liner substrate as a single label with a backside of the middle portion including the corresponding liner substrate defined by the liner substrate die cuts. The middle portion of the label adapted to cover an opening of an item and when removed from the opening, the middle portion separates from the top portion and the bottom portion along the label substrate die cuts providing evidence that the opening to the item was exposed.

Self laminating wristband

In one aspect, a self-laminating identification band is provided. The band is formed from the face stock of a form sheet, with a laminating flap that folds over a printed surface. Adhesive is provided along the flap and along at least one end of the band, so as to allow the band to positioned and looped around itself.
