An apparatus includes an elongated assembly having one or more channels, and one or more light sources configured to be placed within the one or more channels. The apparatus also includes an electrically conductive material configured to electrically connect the one or more light sources, and a covering material configured to cover the electrically conductive material to provide a waterproof seal. The elongated assembly is configured to be affixed to and align with a front of a sign post along a length of the sign post, and the electrically conductive material is configured to be connected to a controller to control flashing of the one or more light sources.
SIGNBOARD ASSEMBLY AND FULLY TRANSPARENT SOLAR LED LUMINOUS SIGNBOARD
The present disclosure discloses a signboard assembly and a fully transparent solar LED luminous signboard. The signboard assembly comprises: a U-shaped sealing ring, a patterned reflective film, a light-diffusing plate, a light-guiding plate, an LED light bar, a white reflective film, a back plate, a signboard bracket, and a control box. The full-transparent solar LED luminous signboard includes a solar power supply assembly and the signboard assembly as described above. The present invention adopts side light emitting principle, wherein light is guided through the light-guiding plate, is reflected by the reflective film, and is homogenized by the light-diffusing plate, so that the whole signboard is finally illuminated uniformly. The problem that the traffic sign is difficult to identify is solved.
DISPLAY UNIT, DISPLAY APPARATUS CONTAINING AT LEAST ONE DISPLAY UNIT, AND USE OF THE DISPLAY UNIT AND THE DISPLAY APPARATUS
A display unit includes a transparent or translucent layer with a display side and a rear side, with an opaque or semitransparent layer on the display side, containing a plurity of apertures, a plurality of illuminants, which are present at, or at a distance from, the rear side of the transparent or translucent layer, at least partly embedded in the layer, wherein at least one illuminant is substantially behind one of the apertures in each case configured and designed to emit light in the direction of and through the aperture, a transparent or translucent lamination ply adjoining the opaque or semitransparent layer and covering the plurity of apertures, and a transparent or translucent protective layer adjoining this lamination ply. Also disclosed are a display apparatus and a traffic guidance system comprising such a display unit, and use if the display unit as a media energy faade or a daylight display.
Traffic sign mountable light panels
A system for detecting a vehicle traveling a designated direction of travel on a roadway includes a sign having a front surface and a back surface. The sign may include a sign boundary marker that is different in color than a color of the front surface. One or more light panels such as an LED light panel is affixed to the sign such as to its front surface. The light emitting elements may lie below a top plane of the light panel. A color of a top surface of the light panel matches a color on the front surface of the sign over which the light panel is placed. A vehicle motion detector or proximity detector is oriented in a direction and has a detection zone for detecting moving vehicles in proximity to the sign. The detector illuminates the lights of the light panel after detecting a moving vehicle in proximity to the sign.
Temporary traffic control assembly
A temporary traffic control assembly includes a traffic barrier that is positioned in a construction zone of a roadway. A mount is coupled to the traffic barrier and a motor is coupled to the mount. A pole is slidably positioned on the motor such that the motor selectively rotates the pole. A display is coupled to the pole such that the display is visible to drivers on the roadway. The display displays indicia comprising traffic information for the drivers. The display is suspended over the roadway when the motor rotates the pole into a displaying position. Moreover, the display is swung across the traffic barrier when the motor rotates the pole into a maintenance position. In this way a worker standing behind the traffic barrier can manipulate the pole and the display without being exposed to traffic on the roadway. A remote control is manipulated by a user for remotely controlling operational parameters of the motor and the display.
FOLDABLE WARNING TRIANGLE ASSEMBLY
A foldable warning triangle assembly (100) comprising three arms (112,114,116) configurable as a triangle. The three arms (112,114,116) are configurable as a triangle, wherein the three arms (112,114,116) are pivotably connected together at pivot points (118,120,122) such that they can pivot into a collapsed arrangement without disconnecting the three arms (112,114,116). The assembly (100) also comprises an electrical switch within a first arm of the three arms (112,114,116) arranged adjacent a pivot point between the first arm of the three arms and a second arm of the three arms. Further, a surface of the second arm is arranged to apply force on the electrical switch such that the electrical switch is configured to close when the three arms (112,114,116) are fully configured as a triangle thereby completing an electrical circuit of the warning triangle.
Traffic warning sign
The traffic warning sign is an illuminated display that is monitors the passing of a vehicle. The traffic warning sign determines whether the passing vehicle is in compliance with laws regarding the operation of vehicle headlights of the vehicle. If the traffic warning sign determines that the passing vehicle is not in compliance with the laws regarding the operation of vehicle headlights, the traffic warning sign illuminates a display panel conveying to the vehicle operator a message to turn on the vehicle headlights. The traffic warning sign comprises a housing, a display panel, and a control system. The control system controls the illumination of the display panel. The display panel is a translucent structure that is backlit. When illuminated, the display panel displays an indicia that conveys the sentiment to turn on the vehicle headlights. The housing contains the control system and the display panel.
Traffic sign board easily identifiable during day and night
A traffic sign board easily identifiable during day and night is provided. The traffic sign board which is easily identified at night includes a flickering operation of a backlight installed inside a frame, and easily identified by a driver during day even on a secluded country road or a deserted road due to flickering of light emitting diode (LED) light projected to a front side through a reflective sheet while the backlight is switched off.

Photoluminescent retroreflector
Common approaches to retroreflectors rely on absorptive materials that waste light energy that could be utilized for visibility. Disclosed photoluminescent retroreflectors filter reflected light, like traditional colored retroreflectors, but down-convert photons of the wrong color into a glow visible from more directions. The glow enables visibility for more observers or observers whose light source is far from their line of sight. The color of the glow can be adjusted by choice of luminescent material as a design feature or safety purpose. Certain embodiments utilize photoluminescent additives within a retroreflector while other embodiments utilize a photoluminescent coating on top of a pre-made retroreflector. An exemplary photoluminescent material for these optical devices is CuInZnS.sub.2 quantum dots.
