DEVELOPMENT PLATFORM FOR DIGITAL HUMANS

A digital human development platform can enable a user to generate a digital human. The digital human development platform can receive user input specifying a dialogue for the digital human and one or more behaviors for the digital human, the one or more specified behaviors corresponding with one or more portions of the dialog on a common timeline. Scene data can be generated with the digital human development platform by merging the one or more behaviors with one or more portions of the dialogue based on times of the one or more behaviors and the one or more portions of the dialog on the common timeline.

STRUCTURAL ASSEMBLY FOR DIGITAL HUMAN INTERACTIVE DISPLAY

A digital human display assembly can include a rectangular display panel enclosed within a frame, the rectangular display panel capable of visually rendering a digital human during an interactive dialogue between the digital human and a user. The digital human display assembly also can include a glass covering enclosed within the frame and extending over a front side of the rectangular display panel. A base can support the frame in an upright position. A light emitting diode (LED) arrangement can be positioned on one or more outer portions of the frame.

COMMUNICATIVE LIGHT ASSEMBLY SYSTEM FOR DIGITAL HUMANS

Communications pertaining to a digital human can include communicating via a lighting system based on determining an aspect of a user based on one or more sensor-generated signals. A communicative lighting sequence can be determined based on the user attribute. The lighting sequence can correspond to a condition of a digital human and can be configured to communicate to the user the condition of the digital human. The light sequence can be generated with an LED array mounted on a digital human display assembly.

A waveguide illumination system employing an optically transmissive sheet, which is used to guide light using a total internal reflection, and a strip of heat-conducting printed circuit located near an edge of the sheet and having a major surface which portion is located in a space between two opposite edges of the sheet. The waveguide illumination system further includes a linear array of electrically interconnected side-emitting LED packages mounted to a major surface of the strip of heat-conducting printed circuit and optically coupled to the optically transmissive sheet within a light coupling area. A two-dimensional pattern of light extraction features is formed in at least one surface of the optically transmissive sheet such that a density of the light extraction features within the two-dimensional pattern increases with a distance from the light coupling area.

A self-contained illuminated sign for mounting on a vehicle is disclosed. The sign includes a front panel, a rear panel situated opposite and substantially parallel to the front panel in spaced relation therefrom to define a space therebetween, and a light source comprising a plurality of LEDs. The light source is positioned between the front and rear panels and is configured to emit light that emanates from the front panel. The front panel is thus backlit to display indicia. A system for supporting a self-contained illuminated sign on a vehicle is also disclosed. The system includes the sign and a separate mounting frame mountable on a vehicle. The mounting frame is configured to removably receive the sign and, when the sign is received in the mounting frame, to surround a perimeter of the sign while permitting visibility of the front display area. Related methods are also disclosed.

The display panel is switchable between an image display mode in which an image is displayed and a transmissive mode in which the display panel is in a transmissive state where an object behind the display panel is visible in a front view of the display panel. The frame unit includes an upper plate disposed along an upper edge of the display panel and protruding rearward. The driver includes a circuit unit which drives the display panel. The driver is supported by the upper plate on a bottom side of the upper plate.
