The trim member includes an illumination device having a luminous sheet extending opposite the main display surface and the peripheral display surface so as to emit at least a first luminous signal onto the screen and at least a second luminous signal illuminating at least a portion of the peripheral display surface when the luminous sheet is activated.
Trim element comprising an integrated display area
A trim element having a display area defined by a display device, and an edge piece that includes a peripheral area extending around at least part of the display area, the peripheral area being at least partly translucent, the display area and the peripheral area forming at least a part of an outer surface of the trim element. The trim element further includes an illumination device arranged to illuminate the display device to display images on the display area. The illumination device has a luminous sheet extending at least facing the display area and the peripheral area of the edge piece.
Vehicle with context sensitive information presentation
Technologies are generally described for context sensitive display of information on a consumable delivery vehicle with en route preparation. An on-board controller may receive different sets of sensor data associated with time, location, temperature, humidity, captured images, and/or captured audio from sensors on the vehicle or at a destination location. The sensor data may be analyzed/processed at the on-board controller or by a remote control system and instructions may be generated for display of context sensitive information based on received sensor data and/or processed sensor data. One or more displays on the vehicle may display images are associated with a branding, a menu, a pricing, and/or an advertisement based on the generated instructions.
PANEL, SYSTEM, KIT OF PARTS AND METHODS
There is disclosed a flexible panel, including (i) a fluorescent layer; (ii) an electroluminescent panel layer arranged to illuminate the fluorescent layer; (iii) an ultraviolet protection layer, transparent to visible light, arranged on a front face of the flexible panel to protect the fluorescent layer, and (iv) an adhesive layer; wherein the adhesive layer is arranged on a rear face of the flexible panel, such that the flexible panel is attachable to a surface. There are further disclosed related systems including such flexible panels and a power supply for the flexible panel; objects including such systems; related kits of parts; related methods of assembly; related methods of connection; and connector systems suitable for connecting such flexible panels to a power supply for the flexible panel.
COLOR DISPLAY DEVICE, VEHICLE INTERIOR/EXTERIOR MEMBER, LAMP FOR PANEL LIGHT, SIGNBOARD FOR DISPLAY AND VEHICLE
A color display device (D) is provided, including a colored light-transmitting base material (10), a light-blocking base material, and a light source unit (30) that has at least a part located between the colored light-transmitting base material (10) and the light-blocking base material (20), in which the colored light-transmitting base material (10) has a total light transmittance of 18% or less, and in which the light source unit (30) is disposed such that emission light transmits through the colored light-transmitting base material (10), the color display device having excellent designability and high luminance.
Illuminated vehicular assembly for day and night use
A vehicle lighting system is provided primarily for use with emergency response vehicles. The vehicle lighting system includes at least one luminescent planar sheet affixed to a vehicle's mounting surface. The luminescent planar sheet includes a non-luminescent printed circuit board in the shape of a letter or number which has a top surface of a color which contrasts with the mounting surface's color. The luminescent planar sheet includes a plurality of light emitting LEDs which are surface mounted upon the printed circuit board so as to be arranged in the shape of the desired letter or number with the LEDs covering no more than 20% of the printed circuit board's top surface. Preferably, the LEDs cover no more than 7% the printed circuit board's top surface.
Light emitting device
A covering layer (240) is formed by atomic layer deposition (ALD) and contains an insulating inorganic material. An intermediate layer (220) contains a material having a linear expansion coefficient different from that of a material of the covering layer (240). A buffer layer (230) has a surface in contact with the intermediate layer (220), that is, a first surface. The buffer layer (230) has a surface in contact with the covering layer (240), that is, a second surface. A linear expansion coefficient difference between a material of the buffer layer (230) and the inorganic material of the covering layer (240) is less than a linear expansion coefficient difference between the material of the intermediate layer (220) and the inorganic material of the covering layer (240).
