Reflective ink lighting assembly
A reflective-ink lighting assembly includes a light transferring medium, a reflective-ink marking in the light transferring medium, and a light source adapted to insert light into the light transferring medium. In a lit state, light from the light source propagates through the light transferring medium by total-internal reflection. As propagated light reflects off the reflective-ink marking, some light exits through a faade of the light transferring medium to produce an illuminated marking. In an unlit state, the reflective-ink marking remains visible due to ambient light reflecting off the reflective-ink marking.
Light grille surround and emblem illumination
An apparatus, according to an exemplary aspect of the present disclosure includes, among other things, a fascia and an emblem mounted or molded to the fascia, where the emblem includes a plurality of quantum dots. The apparatus also includes an energy source to excite the quantum dots. A method according to an exemplary aspect of the present disclosure includes, among other things, providing an emblem with a plurality of quantum dots, mounting or molding the emblem to a fascia, and selectively exciting the quantum dots to illuminate the emblem.
LIGHT EMITTING DEVICE
A covering layer (240) is formed by atomic layer deposition (ALD) and contains an insulating inorganic material. An intermediate layer (220) contains a material having a linear expansion coefficient different from that of a material of the covering layer (240). A buffer layer (230) has a surface in contact with the intermediate layer (220), that is, a first surface. The buffer layer (230) has a surface in contact with the covering layer (240), that is, a second surface. A linear expansion coefficient difference between a material of the buffer layer (230) and the inorganic material of the covering layer (240) is less than a linear expansion coefficient difference between the material of the intermediate layer (220) and the inorganic material of the covering layer (240).
Electroluminescent assembly
An electroluminescent assembly comprising at least one male electroluminescent device and a female electroluminescent device; the male electroluminescent device comprising: a first male connection zone, wherein a first male connector is in contact with the first conductive layer of the male electroluminescent device, and a second male connection zone, wherein a second male connector is in contact with the second conductive layer of the male electroluminescent device; the first male connector being connected to the first conductive layer of the female electroluminescent device, and the second male connector being connected to the second conductive layer of the female electroluminescent device.
ILLUMINATED VEHICULAR ASSEMBLY FOR DAY AND NIGHT USE
A vehicle lighting system is provided primarily for use with emergency response vehicles. The vehicle lighting system includes at least one luminescent planar sheet affixed to a vehicle's mounting surface. The luminescent planar sheet includes a non-luminescent printed circuit board in the shape of a letter or number which has a top surface of a color which contrasts with the mounting surface's color. The luminescent planar sheet includes a plurality of light emitting LEDs which are surface mounted upon the printed circuit board so as to be arranged in the shape of the desired letter or number with the LEDs covering no more than 20% of the printed circuit board's top surface. Preferably, the LEDs cover no more than 7% the printed circuit board's top surface.
Method for making an electroluminescent marking on an exterior wall of an aircraft, marking tape comprising the electroluminescent marking, and aircraft comprising the electroluminescent marking
A method for making an electroluminescent marking on an exterior wall of an aircraft, including a step of superpositioning of layers designed or configured to produce the electroluminescent marking on a first face of a flexible backing distinct from the aircraft to obtain a marking tape and a step of affixing the marking tape to the exterior wall of the aircraft. The disclosure herein also concerns a marking tape for the implementing of the method, a marking device obtained from the method, and an aircraft comprising the marking device.
VEHICLE WITH CONTEXT SENSITIVE INFORMATION PRESENTATION
Technologies are generally described for context sensitive display of information on a consumable delivery vehicle with en route preparation. An on-board controller may receive different sets of sensor data associated with time, location, temperature, humidity, captured images, and/or captured audio from sensors on the vehicle or at a destination location. The sensor data may be analyzed/processed at the on-board controller or by a remote control system and instructions may be generated for display of context sensitive information based on received sensor data and/or processed sensor data. One or more displays on the vehicle may display images are associated with a branding, a menu, a pricing, and/or an advertisement based on the generated instructions.
ELECTROLUMINESCENT ASSEMBLY
An electroluminescent assembly comprising at least one male electroluminescent device and a female electroluminescent device; the male electroluminescent device comprising: a first male connection zone, wherein a first male connector is in contact with the first conductive layer of the male electroluminescent device, and a second male connection zone, wherein a second male connector is in contact with the second conductive layer of the male electroluminescent device the first male connector being connected to the first conductive layer of the female electroluminescent device, and the second male connector being connected to the second conductive layer of the female electroluminescent device.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR AN ILLUMINATED SUN VISOR
A vehicle sun visor is disclosed. The sun visor has a panel. The panel having a display portion and an energy source and is communicably coupled to a computing device. the computing device determines a message to be illuminated on the panel and sends the message to the panel by a signal. After receiving the signal at the panel, the message is displayed on the panel. The panel is hinged such that it can be displayed to external viewers.
