Character string display method and terminal device

A character string display method and a terminal device, where the method includes processing, by a terminal device, at least two control regions based on control information to form at least two reset control regions satisfying a first target condition, where the first target condition includes that any two neighboring reset control regions in the at least two reset control regions in a landscape direction of the display are coupled, and displaying a character string in any one of the at least two reset control regions. Hence, a length of the reset control region is greater than a length of the control region, and a length of a character string displayed in the reset control region is greater than a length of a character string displayed in the control region.

Apparatus, system and method for dynamic modification of a graphical user interface

Methods, apparatus, systems are disclosed for altering displayed content on a display device responsive to a user's proximity. In accord with one example, a computing system includes a memory, a sensor to collect data representative of a viewing distance between a display and a user of the display, and a scaler to adjust a size of at least one object displayed by the display based on the viewing distance from the display.

In a vehicular display apparatus, in response to that a rotation operation is detected, a view of a plurality of items displayed on a circular ring-shaped second display area is rotated along the outer periphery of a circle-shaped first display area. An item displayed at a predetermined position among the plurality of items displayed on the second display area is determined as a processing target item. Processing is executed for inputting a character on a character input screen on the first display area according to the determined processing target item.

SELF-CALIBRATING DISPLAY DEVICE

A system is described for automatically calibrating a display device based at least on information relating to a user of the display device. The system obtains visual acuity information or pupillary information of the user. The system then determines a value of a display parameter of the display device based at least on the visual acuity information or the pupillary information of the user. The determined value is then provided for application to the display device. Other information may also be used in determining the value of the display parameter, such as user input, demographic information of the user, display device specific information, user environment information, displayed content information, or application context information. An algorithm may be used that determines the display parameter based on such information. The algorithm may comprise a model obtained through machine learning.

Apparatus and method for visually providing information regarding contents indicating time interval

An electronic device for indicating information and a method therefor are provided. The electronic device includes a display, a processor electrically connected to the display, and a memory electrically connected to the processor and including instructions. The instructions, when executed by the processor, cause the processor to display contents indicating a time interval on a first region of a screen displayed by the display, display, in the contents, a text representing information regarding the contents, receive a user input for scrolling the first region, determine whether a part of the text is located on a second region included in the first region, and fix the text on the second region during a scroll operation according to the user input when the part of the text is located on the second region.
