Language element vision augmentation methods and devices
Near-to-eye displays support a range of applications from helping users with low vision through augmenting a real world view to displaying virtual environments. The images displayed may contain text to be read by the user. It would be beneficial to provide users with text enhancements to improve its readability and legibility, as measured through improved reading speed and/or comprehension. Such enhancements can provide benefits to both visually impaired and non-visually impaired users where legibility may be reduced by external factors as well as by visual dysfunction(s) of the user. Methodologies and system enhancements that augment text to be viewed by an individual, whatever the source of the image, are provided in order to aid the individual in poor viewing conditions and/or to overcome physiological or psychological visual defects affecting the individual or to simply improve the quality of the reading experience for the user.
TEXT SELECTION USING A TOUCH SENSITIVE SCREEN OF A HANDHELD MOBILE COMMUNICATION DEVICE
A system and method is disclosed that provides for character or text selection and editing. The text and character selection is made by user contact with a touch sensitive screen. In order to allow for refinement of the selection, a second expanded view is implemented as compared to the original display configuration of the screen. Furthermore, the selection is described in relation to two endpoints of the block of text. Additionally, a point is specified as the point desired for insertion of the selected text. The expanded view is implemented along with the original view as required when making character selection.

The present invention is directed to a system comprising providing means for providing numbers to user, comprising display means for displaying said provided numbers, each number having a value, wherein the system furthermore comprises determination means which is adapted to calculate the size of the number dependent on said value and/or wherein the determination means is adapted to calculate the depth of the color of the number or the depth of the color of background of the number dependent on said value, wherein the determination means is further adapted to elect the size of the number the larger the larger the value of the number is and/or to elect the depth of the color the larger the larger the value of the number is, and wherein the display means is adapted to display the number in the determined size and/or to display the color in the determined depth.

Devices and methods for generating input
Devices and methods are disclosed for generating input. In one implementation, a stylus is provided for generating writing input. The stylus includes an elongated body having a distal end, and a light source configured to project coherent light on an opposing surface adjacent the distal end. The stylus further includes at least one sensor configured to measure first reflections of the coherent light from the opposing surface while the distal end moves in contact with the opposing surface, and to measure second reflections of the coherent light from the opposing surface while the distal end moves above the opposing surface and out of contact with the opposing surface. The stylus also includes at least one processor configured to receive input from the at least one sensor and to enable determining three dimensional positions of the distal end based on the first reflections and the second reflections.
Devices and methods for generating input
Devices and methods are disclosed for generating input. In one implementation, a stylus is provided for generating writing input. The stylus includes an elongated body having a distal end, and a light source configured to project coherent light on an opposing surface adjacent the distal end. The stylus further includes at least one sensor configured to measure first reflections of the coherent light from the opposing surface while the distal end moves in contact with the opposing surface, and to measure second reflections of the coherent light from the opposing surface while the distal end moves above the opposing surface and out of contact with the opposing surface. The stylus also includes at least one processor configured to receive input from the at least one sensor and to enable determining three dimensional positions of the distal end based on the first reflections and the second reflections.
Input display device, input display method, and computer-readable medium
An input display device includes: a processor to execute a program; and a memory to store the program which, when executed by the processor, results in performance of steps including: receiving an input of a track by a receiving unit; generating a track image showing the track; acquiring a character string; and displaying the character string acquired in the acquiring to be superimposed on the track image. When the character string is acquired in the acquiring before the track image is generated, the displaying the character string is stood by.
ERGONOMIC CLASSIFICATIONS
An example electronic device includes a display device, and a sensor to detect position data of a user of the electronic device. The position data indicates a position and orientation of the user relative to the display device. In addition, the electronic device includes a controller coupled to the sensor and the display device. The controller is to: receive the position data from the sensor; use a machine learning model and the position data to classify an interaction of the user with the electronic device in a first ergonomic category or a second ergonomic category; and adjust an angular position of a display device or an output from the display device responsive to a classification of the interaction in the first ergonomic category.
Electronic device and photographing method
An electronic device, according to various embodiments of the present invention, comprises: an image sensor; a display configured to acquire a user input; and a processor functionally connected to the image sensor and the display, wherein, when the user input has a first input time, the processor displays, via the display, image information acquired from means of the images sensor, and when the user input has a second input time, the processor may be configured to perform an operation of storing the image information.
