Wireless teeth whitening system
A wireless teeth whitening system includes a mouthpiece that is devoid of any electrical circuitry so that it may easily be cleaned and sterilized. A control module may be coupled to the mouthpiece. This module has an electrical circuit board with LEDs and heating elements mounted on it. When the control module is coupled to the mouthpiece, the system may be used to whiten teeth. The control module includes a battery that may be inductively charged, and may be wirelessly controlled via Bluetooth from a mobile application.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR TREATMENT OF OBSTRUCTIVE SLEEP APNEA
Methods, devices, and systems employ cryolysis of oropharyngeal adipose tissues to selectively remove fat cells from the tissues causing obstructive sleep apnea. In various embodiments, a chilled liquid—e.g., a liquid or air—is applied to the target tissue at a temperature and for a duration sufficient to cause cryolysis.
DEVICE FOR THE TREATMENT OF HERPES DISEASES
The invention relates a device for the hyperthermal treatment of a herpes disease on a skin, preferably a lip, wherein a control device is configured to regulate a treatment surface on an outer side facing the skin by heating at least one heating element in a heating phase to a contact temperature of 43-47° C. during a contact of the treatment surface with the skin, preferably the lip, and to maintain the contact temperature in a treatment phase for a time period between 1 and 10 seconds.
DEVICE FOR THE TREATMENT OF ITCHING AND HERPES DISEASES WITH A CONTACT SENSOR
The invention relates to a device for treating itching and/or herpes disease on a skin, wherein a control device is configured to regulate a treatment surface on an outer side facing the skin by heating at least one heating element in a heating phase to a contact temperature during a contact of the treatment surface with the skin and to maintain the temperature in a treatment phase, and wherein the device comprises at least one contact sensor.
3D scanner with steam autoclavable tip containing a heated optical element
A 3D scanner for recording topographic characteristics of a surface of at least part of a body orifice, where the 3D scanner includes a main body having a mounting portion; a tip which can be mounted onto and un-mounted from the mounting portion, where the tip is configured for being brought into proximity of the body orifice surface when recording the topographic characteristics such that at least one optical element of the tip is at least partly exposed to the environment in the body orifice during the recording; and a heater for heating the optical element, where the heat is provided by way of thermal conduction; where the tip can be sterilized in a steam autoclave when un-mounted from the main body of the 3D scanner such that it subsequently can be reused.
Mouth cooler
A mouth cooler is provided. The mouth cooler comprises a first peripheral cooling winding shaped and dimensioned to cool the lower and upper jaw, and at least one second cooling winding in arrangement with the peripheral cooling winding shaped and dimensioned to cool at least the blood entry to the tongue.
Triggering the autonomic nervous system
A device and method is provided for treating a person by providing controlled stimulation of a branch of the trigeminal nerve of the person to induce a dive reflex response in the person. A device for providing this treatment includes a stimulus component controllably operable to stimulate a branch of the trigeminal nerve of a person. The stimulus component can be a Peltier device configured to reduce the temperature of the person's face in proximity to a branch of the trigeminal nerve to induce the dive reflex. A controller controls activation of the stimulus component when it is desirable to induce the dive reflex response in the person. The controller can sense physiological and ambient conditions and can activate and deactivate the stimulus component in response to a condition falling within or outside a threshold value.
MOUTH PIECE FOR COOLING OF ORAL TISSUE OF A PATIENT DURING CHEMOTHERAPY TREATMENT
The invention is directed to a mouth piece for cooling of oral tissue of a patient during chemotherapy treatment. The mouth piece includes a cooling medium contained within the top element and the bottom element and able to retain a cooling environment within the mouth sufficient to reduce capillary blood flow to the patient's mouth.
CANNABINOID-INFUSED POST-OPERATIVE DENTAL DRESSING
A dental dressing to promote hemostasis, reduce inflammation, alleviate pain, and lower incidence of infection associated with dental surgical procedures. The dressing comprises a three-dimensional absorbent matrix to assist in the removal of exudate associated with iatrogenic trauma, and embedded cannabinoid-infused therapeutic phytoconstituents to provide substantially localized therapy to the surgical site. The cannabinoid-infused therapeutic phytoconstituents are substantially contained within a porous dressing pouch shapeable to substantially engage the iatrogenic trauma while fitting generally over and about the surgical site. At least part of the dressing matrix substantially conforms to the surgical site, thereby engaging the therapeutic phytoconstituents intimately with the iatrogenic trauma.
ENERGY-DELIVERING ORTHODONTIC ALIGNERS
Orthodontic appliances, including in particular, aligners, that are configured to deliver energy (e.g., light and/or heat and/or electrical energy) to regions of a patient's dental arch to aid in an orthodontic treatment. For example, described herein are systems and methods of embedding light emitting diodes (LEDs), heating elements and/or energy emitting elements in an orthodontic device for accelerating an orthodontic treatment. Method of modifying a dental arch using an orthodontic appliance that delivers local light and/or heat and/or electrical energy are also described.
