Spherical input and output methods and devices
Described herein are embodiments of sensorized spherical input and output devices, systems, and methods for capturing gestural input from a user's physical interactions with a spherical device, including tossing, bouncing and spinning. In one embodiment, the spherical input and output device includes force sensors in a configuration to capture a variety of user gestures with the sphere. A microprocessor receives sensor input and transmits the sensor data to receiving devices which include computer software to translate the sensor signals to audio output, visual output, or various functions on receiving devices. Embodiments of the invention include the integration of inertial measurement units (IMUs), which may include a combination of accelerometers, gyroscopes and magnetometers to capture complex user gestures involving motion, direction and spin of the sensorized sphere in three dimensional space.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR GENERATING RECOMMENDATIONS IN A DIGITAL AUDIO WORKSTATION
A method includes displaying a user interface of a digital audio workstation, which includes a first region for generating a composition. The first region includes a first compositional segment that has been added to the composition by a user. Based on the first compositional segment, one or more recommended predefined compositional segments are identified and displayed in a second region. The method includes receiving the selection of a second compositional segment. The method includes adding the compositional segment to the composition.
Comparison Training for Music Generator
Techniques are disclosed relating to automatically generating new music content based on image representations of audio files. A music generation system includes a music generation subsystem and a music classification subsystem. The music generation subsystem may generate output music content according to music parameters that define policy for generating music. The classification subsystem may be used to classify whether music is generated by the music generation subsystem or is professionally produced music content. The music generation subsystem may implement an algorithm that is reinforced by prediction output from the music classification subsystem. Reinforcement may include tuning the music parameters to generate more human-like music content.
Systems and methods for selecting musical sample sections on an electronic drum module
An electronic drum-module for connection to electronic-drum pads is provided. The module includes an electronic display, a memory storing audio files for playback when the playback is triggered by a signal received from the pads, and one or more processors coupled to the electronic display and the memory. The processors are configured to play a portion of the one or more audio files when the playback is triggered by the signal received from the pads and to display, on the electronic display, a user interface for an application. The user interface includes a waveform associated with recorded audio. The user interface includes a sample-start marker and a sample-end marker. A portion of the waveform between the sample-start marker and sample-end marker is displayed brighter than a portion not between the sample-start marker and the sample-end marker. Playback of the portion may be initiated by striking a drum-pad zone.
APPARATUS, METHOD, AND COMPUTER-READABLE MEDIUM FOR GENERATING MUSICAL PIECES
An apparatus, method, and computer-readable storage medium that generate a harmonized musical piece. The method includes receiving a chord selection including a musical key and a scale selection, generating, within a digital audio work session, a chord progression sequence based on the received chord selection, in response to a detected chord selection change, modifying the chord progression sequence to include a chord progression corresponding to the chord selection change, setting the chord progression sequence as a master sequence, in response to detecting a second progression sequence within the digital audio work session, transmitting an identifier to the second progression sequence setting it as a slave sequence, and establishing a synchronized communication link between the master and the slave sequences such that changes made in the master sequence are automatically effectuated in the slave sequence, and combining the master sequence and the slave sequence to form a composed musical piece.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR GENERATING A PLAYBACK-INFORMATION DISPLAY DURING TIME COMPRESSION OR EXPANSION OF AN AUDIO SIGNAL
Systems and methods for generating a playback-information display during time compression or expansion of an audio signal are provided. The system includes a processor that performs a method including displaying a first remaining playback-time associated with an audio file; adjusting the playback speed of the audio file during playback of the audio file; and, in response to the playback speed being adjusted, automatically displaying a second remaining playback-time associated with the audio file during playback of the audio file.
Editing of MIDI files
The present disclosure relates to a method of editing an audio stream (S) having at least one tone (T1) extending over time in said stream. The method comprises cutting the stream at a first time point of the stream, producing a first cut (A) having a left cutting end (A.sub.L) and a right cutting end (A.sub.R); allocating a respective memory cell to each of the cutting ends; in each of the memory cells, storing information about the tone; and, for one of the cutting ends, concatenating the cutting end with a further stream cutting end which also has an allocated memory cell with information stored therein about any tones extending to said further cutting end. The concatenating comprises using the information stored in the memory cells for adjusting any of the tones extending to the cutting ends.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR DISPLAYING GRAPHICS ABOUT A CONTROL WHEEL'S CENTER
A DJ media player is provided. The DJ media player has a control wheel used to control audio playback and a customizable first electronic display located about the center of the platter for displaying a graphic. The DJ media player has a second electronic display to show audio playback information. The graphic is dynamically updated. The graphic corresponds to at least one of a logo, an artist, an album, a song playback information, or a selection made by a user.
AUDIO PROCESSING METHOD AND AUDIO PROCESSING SYSTEM
An audio processing system includes a memory and a processor. The processor implements instructions to: establish a re-trained synthesis model by additional training a pre-trained synthesis model for generating feature data representative of acoustic features of an audio signal according to condition data representative of sounding conditions, using: first condition data representative of sounding conditions identified from a first audio signal of a first sound source; and first feature data representative of acoustic features of the first audio signal; receive an instruction to modify at least one of the sounding conditions of the first audio signal; generate second feature data by inputting second condition data representative of the modified at least one sounding condition into the re-trained synthesis model established by the additional training; and generate a modified audio signal in accordance with the generated second feature data.
