CANCEL FILTER COEFFICIENT SELECTING APPARATUS, CANCEL FILTER COEFFICIENT SELECTING METHOD, AND PROGRAM

Provided is a technique for selecting a cancellation filter coefficient that can stably cancel noise for a user using a seat of an aircraft, an automobile, or the like. A cancellation filter coefficient selection apparatus includes: a recording unit configured to record cancellation filter coefficients; a seat position acquisition unit configured to acquire a position of a seat used by a user; and a cancellation filter coefficient selection unit configured to, from among the cancellation filter coefficients recorded in the recording unit, select a cancellation filter coefficient corresponding to the position of the seat as a cancellation filter coefficient to be used in filtering for generating a cancellation signal for cancelling noise at a position where quiet is desired, based on a reference signal output by a reference microphone configured to collect noise in a predetermined space. The reference microphone and a speaker for emitting sound based on the cancellation signal are installed on the seat, and positions of the reference microphone and the speaker in the predetermined space change accompanying movement of the seat.

Active noise cancellation system for helmets

A helmet including an active noise cancellation (ANC) system which includes a first reference microphone for measuring sound pressure at a first location on a first side of the helmet, the first location between a defined spatial region and a first source of sound and a second reference microphone for measuring sound pressure at a second location, different to the first location, on the first side. The second location is between the defined spatial region and a second source of sound. A loud speaker is provided in or adjacent to the defined spatial region. A control unit determines, based on output signals from the first and second microphones, a drive signal for driving the loudspeaker to generate a sound signal that at least partially attenuates, in the defined spatial region and in the first frequency range, the sound signals from the first and second noise sources.

Silent zone generation

A system for generating silent zones at a listening position comprises a first loudspeaker disposed at a first position and configured to radiate sound that corresponds to a sound signal. A first microphone picks up noise radiated by a noise source to the listening position and generates a first microphone signal. A second loudspeaker disposed at a second position that radiates sound. A second microphone that generates a second microphone signal. A third microphone disposed at a third position that generates a third microphone signal. An active noise cancellation (ANC) controller that receives the third microphone signal and at least one of the first and second microphone signals and that provides a loudspeaker input signal. A distance between the third position and the first position equals a distance between the third position and the second position such that the first, second and third microphones form corners of an isosceles triangle.

Noise cancellation system

Active noise cancellation may be provided by a variety of systems, methods and techniques. General aspects, for example, include an active noise cancellation system, a controller for an active noise cancellation system, and/or a method of generating an anti-noise signal. In one example aspect, an active noise cancellation system for an aircraft In-flight entertainment system may include at least one input device, a processing means, and an output. The input device may be associated with a seat on the aircraft and adapted to receive an input representative of an ambient noise in the vicinity of the seat. The processing means may be adapted to process the input to produce an output signal adapted to reduce the ambient noise in volume associated with the seat. The output may be adapted to transmit an output signal to at least one driver, which is adapted to transmit the output signal to a user.

AUTOMATIC NOISE CONTROL

Active noise control systems and methods are disclosed that include generating with a first sub-system, anti-noise that is configured to reduce or cancel noise occurring at a listening position. Generating with a second sub-system, anti-noise that is configured to reduce or cancel noise occurring at the listening position. The first active noise control sub-system has a higher robustness than the second active noise control sub-system.

AUTOMATIC NOISE CONTROL

Active noise control system and methods are disclosed that include generating anti-noise that is configured to reduce or cancel noise occurring at a listening position in the ambiance of a seat with a backrest enclosing a hollow volume. Radiating the anti-noise from within the hollow volume of the backrest of the seat.

Vehicle and controlling method of vehicle

A vehicle and a controlling method thereof are disclosed. The vehicle includes a first seat in which a talker is seated; a second seat in which a passenger is seated; a plurality of speakers provided in the first seat and the second seat; a microphone for receiving the voice of the passenger or the voice of the talker; and a controller configured to control the speaker to output a masking sound tuned based on the voice of the talker or the voice of the passenger.

A quiet headspace for the passenger in a vehicle (car/train/bus/aircraft etc.) which comprises a canopy to provide some passive attenuation of the noise coming from the surroundings and within the canopy a noise reduction system comprising, in combination one or more loudspeakers and one or more microphones located close to the passenger's head, and one or more microphones located around the periphery of the canopy.

SNORING ACTIVE NOISE-CANCELLATION, MASKING, AND SUPPRESSION

A kit for attenuation of noise includes a noise source audio transducer, two ear pieces, and a control unit. The two ear pieces have respective resilient bodies that engage outer portions of ear canals of respective ears of a user while respective in-ear transducers of the two ear pieces are respectively positioned in inner portions of the ear canals. The respective in-ear transducers detect discrepancies (e.g., incomplete superpositioning) between the noise and the anti-noise. The respective in-ear transducers optionally detect respective secondary path effects in the ear canals. The noise source audio transducer detects noise generated by a noise source (e.g., snoring noise). The control unit configures an adaptive filter based at least in part on an error signal, and optionally based in part on secondary path effects. The control unit generates signals representative of anti-noise. The two ear pieces produce the anti-noise responsive to the signals. The two ear pieces produce masking noise with sound level that varies in direct correlation with sound level of the noise generated by the noise source.
