Heat transfer vest with hook and loop securement
The present invention comprises a heat transfer vest. The vest is configured to mount a plurality of heat transfer packs on its interior surface. In the preferred embodiments the appropriate portions of the interior surface are covered in a hook-compatible material. In these versions, the thermal transfer packs include one or more hook panels that are used to attach the packs to the interior surface.
System and method for heat or cold therapy and compression therapy
A medical device providing a combination of thermal and DVT therapies to a patient. The components, arrangement of components, function of the device as a whole, and methods of use of the device are all devised to maximize therapeutic effectiveness. Effectiveness in this context is measured by the ability to provide a controlled application of the recommended thermal treatment including time, temperature, compression, and number of cycles with specified cycle duration.
Added or Alternate Thermal Contact Pad Adhesion
A medical pad for exchanging thermal energy between a targeted temperature management (TTM) fluid and a patient. The medical pad includes a fluid containing layer configured for circulation of a TTM fluid therein. The pad may further include a bistable stiffening structure configured to transition between a first stable shape and a second stable shape. The pad may further include a thermally-conductive compressible foam layer disposed between the fluid containing layer and a patient contact side of the pad. a self-adhering stretchable band configured to secure the pad to the patient. The pad may further include a semi-permeable layer disposed between an underside of the fluid containing layer and a hydrogel layer so that the TTM fluid may migrate from the fluid containing layer to the hydrogel layer.
COLD/HEAT-ASSISTED DISTRIBUTED WAVE VIBRATION THERAPY
Methods and systems for providing pain therapy by utilizing cold/heat-assisted distributed vibration therapy. The pain therapy device includes a plurality of vibration motors that are located along a grid. The device is portable and can be adaptable to the body part requiring pain therapy.
HEAD TRAUMA BANDAGE CAP AND METHOD
An emergency hemostatic head trauma bandage cap with a strap system and method of use, which, when applied to the head, delivers minimal pressure to control bleeding, doesn't compromise cervical spine immobilization, allows for fast and effective application of cooling gel to control intracranial/internal swelling or hot packs to prevent hypothermia in non-trauma situations, doesn't come apart during treatment and transport, and doesn't require a caregiver to re-wrap the dressing.
SELF-HEATING THERMAL-INSULATION FILM AND FACE MASK AND EYE MASK MANUFACTURED THEREFROM
Disclosed is a self-heating thermal-insulation multilayer film comprising a structure of at least three layers, which from outside to inside are respectively: an outer layer (1) formed of an air permeable material; a heat-generating layer (2) loaded with heat-generating composition (21) that generates heat on contact with air, at least an upper sealing surface of the heat-generating layer that is in contact with the outer layer being formed of an air permeable material; and an thermal-insulation layer (3) formed of a material having waterproof and thermal-insulation properties. The present self-heating thermal-insulation film is structurally simple, is not constrained by environmental resources, does not require energy supply from an external energy source, is safe and stable, uniformly generates heat, and can effectively prolong heating time and reduce peak heating temperature. The present self-heating thermal-insulation film can be manufactured into a three-dimensional face mask, a face mask, or an eye mask.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR COOLING HEAD INJURY
An apparatus and method for treating a head injury including head gear and at least one cooling medium. The cooling medium has a prolonged cooling effect to aid injured persons recovery and health after sustaining a head injury. The apparatus and method is also contemplated for use with headaches, migraines, heat and/or sun stroke, as well as persons that have suffered a stroke.
Vibration and heat generation apparatus for use with compression wraps
A system applies compression, vibration and heat to a body part of a person. The system includes a portable vibration and heat generation apparatus having a flexible support platform and a bag-like enclosure extending from the support platform. A cylindrical control unit is mounted to the support platform and extends perpendicularly from the support platform. The control unit has a diameter of between 50 millimeters and 100 millimeters. The control unit houses electronic circuitry and at least one battery. Four vibration pods extend from the support platform into the bag-like structure. The bag-like structure also houses a heat generation unit. The control unit extends through a circular bore in a compression wrap. The compression wrap is securable to a body part with a distal wall of the bag-like enclosure against the body part. The system selectively applies vibration, heat or a combination of vibration and heat to the body part.
THERAPEUTIC BURP CLOTH
A therapeutic burp cloth having at least one panel and at least one pocket. The therapeutic burp cloth is adapted to be worn by a caregiver while holding an infant. The pockets are adapted to receive heat pads, cold pads and therapeutic inserts for comforting the infant and the caregiver during use.
TEMPERATURE-REGULATING SPORTS WRAP WITH ANGLED ATTACHMENTS
A temperature-regulating sports wrap is provided, including a first web of fabric having elongate side edges and first and second end edges, a second web of fabric is secured to the first web of fabric. At least one pocket is defined between opposing surfaces of the first and second webs and opens along one of the elongate side edges. At least one first strip extends outwardly from the first side edges along an axis parallel to the elongate side edges, has one of a hook-and-loop fastener material. At least one second strip extends inwardly from the second side edges, is secured to a surface of one of the first and second webs. The at least one second strip has the opposite one of a hook-and-loop fastener material from the at least one first strip, the at least one second strip extends inwardly at a non-parallel angle from the second edge.
