Cervical collar
A cervical collar that facilitates therapeutic hypothermia is provided and includes a cooling device having a front portion and a back portion fixedly coupled to the front portion on one side and removably coupled to the front portion on an opposite side. A fastening device removably couples the back portion to the front portion on the opposite side. The cooling device induces hypothermia in at least a portion of a patient. A sensor is provided that measures a physical characteristic of the patient.
THERMAL SYSTEM WITH THERMAL PAD FILTERS
A thermal pad is adapted to be placed in physical contact with a patient and to receive temperature controlled fluid from a thermal control unit. The temperature controlled fluid circulates through the thermal pad and controls the patient's temperature. The thermal pad includes first and second sheets that are sealed together about their periphery to define a fluid chamber there between. A fluid inlet and fluid outlet are fluidly coupled to the fluid chamber. In some embodiments, a filter sheet is sandwiched between the first and second sheets and arranged such that fluid entering the fluid inlet must pass through the filter sheet before exiting out of the fluid outlet. A plurality of bonds may be included that seal the first and second sheets together at a plurality of locations. In some embodiments, a non-sheet filter is positioned within the fluid chamber and filters the circulating fluid.
Compressive cryo-hemostatic device
This is a device, belonging to the medical and hospital artifacts industry, developed to accelerate the hemostatic process for patients undergoing radial punctures, partially compressing the artery subjected to treatment; said cryo-hemostatic device is essentially presented in the form of a wristband (1), providing end bands (2) providing velcro-based closing, interconnected by an intermediate band (3) below which a first cryogenic reservoir pad is located (4), which can be filled with a saline substance by the action of a syringe connected to the first connection nipple (5) attached to the first tube (6), flanked by the second external reservoir pad (7), also provided with a second connection nipple (8), attached to the second tube (9).
Thermal pack for therapeutic treatment and insert therefor
A thermal pack (10) for therapeutic treatment of a mammal that includes a bladder (12, 4) and a separator element insert (22). The bladder (12, 14) is formed of a pair of superposed sheets (12, 14) of flexible, heat conductive liquid impermeable polyurethane material and includes an inlet (18) and an outlet (20). The sheets (12, 14) are welded together at a central spine (17) and along a series of branches (16) so as to provide a turning, tortuous fluid passageway therein. The separator element insert (22) is received within the fluid passageway and provides a fluid conveying track that extends throughout the fluid passageway from the inlet (18) to the outlet (19) to maintain the sheets (12, 14) in spaced apart relationship to mitigate restrictions in fluid flow when the pack (10) is flexed out of the plane of the sheets (12, 14). The separator element insert (22) includes a series of deflector ribs (36, 38, 40, 42, 44) along the fluid conveying track that deflect fluid flow away from the separator element insert (22) and into the fluid passage way along at each turn of the fluid passageway.

CONFORMAL THERMAL DEVICE
A conformal thermal device is described that can conform to one or more body parts of a user for either warming or cooling the body parts to within a desired or therapeutic temperature range. Some embodiments of the conformal thermal device include features that indicate a cooling and/or heating temperature. In addition, some embodiments of the conformal thermal device include modular extensions for adapting the shape of the conformal thermal device to a part of the body. Various other features and functions associated with the conformal thermal device are described herein.
HEAT EXCHANGE PAD FOR THERMAL TEMPERATURE MANAGEMENT
Example heat exchange pads are described herein. A heat exchange pad can include an input compartment, an output compartment arranged in fluid connection with the input compartment, and an internal member disposed between the input and output compartments. The internal member can include an array of holes formed therein. Additionally, the internal member can be configured to produce impinging flow convection heat transfer in proximity to a heat exchange surface of the output compartment.
Targeted Temperature Management Systems, Pads, and Methods Thereof
Disclosed are systems, pads, and methods for targeted temperature management. For example, a pad can include a multilayered pad body, a pad inlet connector, and a pad outlet connector. The pad body can include a conduit layer and a patient-interfacing layer over the conduit layer. The conduit layer can include one or more conduits configured to convey a temperature-controlled fluid as a supply fluid from a hydraulic system and a return fluid back to the hydraulic system. The patient-interfacing layer can be configured for placement on a portion of a patient's body. The patient-interfacing layer can have a patient-facing side including a plurality of wells configured to hold a thermally conductive medium. The pad inlet connector can include a pad inlet configured for charging the conduit layer with the supply fluid. The pad outlet connector can include a pad outlet configured for discharging the return fluid from the conduit layer.
Cold Pack and Storage Container for Perishables
A heat sealed cold pack with a plurality of broken boarder pockets for both holding a substance with a high heat of fusion, such as gel refrigerant consistently throughout the cold pack and allowing the gel refrigerant to migrate throughout the gel pack. The volume of each pocket is variable in response to flexibility and cooling capacity. A two container system that integrates the cold pack.
Compression sequenced thermal therapy system
A sequential compression and temperature therapy blanket with a plurality of air chambers is disclosed. The air chambers are filled and released by a valve assembly that may be separate from or integrated within the blanket. The temperature therapy blanket includes a fluid bladder for delivering hot and/or cold therapy to a patient. The temperature therapy blanket may also include an air bladder for providing compression.
