A cooling system (10) for cooling at least one extremity, such as a finger or toe, or body part of a human is provided. The cooling system (10) comprises at least one malleable thermal conductive viscoelastic material (11), adapted to be formed into a homogenous body around and fully covering the at least one extremity or body part, thereby providing for a complete and continuous direct contact between the malleable thermal conductive viscoelastic material and the at least one extremity or body part. Moreover, the cooling system (10) comprises a cooling circuit (12) for providing cooling at least partly around said homogenous body of malleable thermal conductive viscoelastic material (11).

MOUTHPIECE FOR COOLING OF ORAL TISSUE OF A PATIENT
20200069459 · 2020-03-05 ·

A mouthpiece having particular suitability for cooling oral tissue of a patient undergoing chemotherapy or other medical treatments in which reducing oral cavity temperature is beneficial. The mouthpiece includes a cooling medium contained within the top element and the bottom element and able to retain a cooling environment within the mouth, preferably sufficient to reduce capillary blood flow to the patient's mouth. In one embodiment, an external chamber extends from the front of the mouthpiece to house a cooling medium. A bladder is positioned inside the external chamber for storing a solution having a freezing temperature above the freezing point temperature of the cooling medium to assist in cooling the cooling medium. At least one breathing tube extends through the external chamber to permit a patient to breathe through the mouth when the mouthpiece is emplaced within the mouth in the operative close-fitting relationship.

SYSTEM AND A METHOD FOR COOLING THE SCALP OF A USER
20240058165 · 2024-02-22 ·

A system for cooling a head of a user to mitigate or prevent drug-induced hair-loss, including a hat, which includes an exterior layer, an interior layer, with an inflatable chamber therebetween, the inflatable chamber being functionally associated with an inflation pump. The hat includes a cooling assembly, reversibly attachable to the interior layer and including a housing defining pockets having cooling pads therein. Each cooling pad comprising a phase-changing-material adapted to obtain a temperature lower than 20 C. and to retain that temperature. A sensor is adapted to sense an environmental condition within the hat. A controller is adapted to receive input from the sensor, and to provide a notification when the sensed environmental condition is outside of a specific range. When the hat is donned by the user, the inflatable chamber is inflated sufficiently to ensure that the cooling assembly engages the scalp of the user.
