An electrical feed-through, such as a PCB connector, involves at least one positioning protrusion protruding from a main body, and may further include multiple positioning protrusions protruding in respective directions from the main body. A data storage device employing such a feed-through comprises an enclosure base with which the feed-through is coupled, where the base comprises an annular recessed surface surrounding an aperture that is encompassed by the feed-through and is at a first level, and at least one recessed positioning surface at a higher level than the first level and extending in a direction away from the annular recessed surface. The positioning protrusion of the electrical feed-through physically mates with the recessed positioning surface of the base, such that the position of the feed-through is vertically constrained by the recessed positioning surface.

The positioning protrusion of the electrical feed-through contacts the recessed positioning surface of the base, such that the position of the feed-through is constrained by the recessed positioning surface.

Tape embedded drive with multiple feedthrough connections

The present disclosure generally relates to a tape embedded drive having a plurality of feedthrough connectors. The feedthrough connectors are symmetrically placed within the tape embedded drive such that regardless of whether an even or odd number of feedthrough connectors are present, the feedthrough connectors are symmetrical about a centerline of the tape embedded drive. In such a layout, the tape embedded drive is more stable due to symmetrical mass balance. Additionally, the tape embedded drive is more cost effective to produce.

Terminal

Embodiments provide a terminal, and the terminal includes a body, a cover body covering the body, a circuit board mounted in the body, a central processing unit welded on the circuit board, a control part mounted on the cover body, and a protection switch welded on the circuit board. A hard disk slot for accommodating a hard disk is disposed in the body. The cover body is detachably mounted on the body, and is configured to seal the hard disk in the hard disk slot. The cover body is opened to drive the control part to open the protection switch. An electrical signal variation is generated due to opening of the protection switch. After detecting the electrical signal variation, the central processing unit instructs the hard disk to perform data protection and powers off the hard disk.

PATTERNED GROUND STRUCTURE FILTER DESIGNS WITH IMPROVED PERFORMANCE

Disclosed herein are printed circuit boards (PCBs) with patterned ground structure filters and data storage devices comprising such PCBs. Each PCB comprises a resonator having an L-shape or a zig-zag shape in a plane of the printed circuit board and at least one signal trace. The resonator has a first dimension and a second dimension in the plane of the printed circuit board. A portion of the at least one signal trace is situated over the resonator and is separated by a distance from the resonator by a dielectric material. In some embodiments, at least part of the portion of the at least one signal trace extends in a same direction as the first dimension (in the case of an L-shaped resonator) or tracks the zig-zag shape of the resonator (in the case of a zig-zag-shaped resonator).
