A wound care product is provided. It comprises a sealed chamber in which a wound care article is arranged around a support member in such a manner that a curved portion of the wound care article is in contact with the support member. The curved portion interconnects two other portions on opposite sides of the support member.

An adhesive patch is described that contains an improved release liner for the treatment of various skin conditions.

The devices, kits and methods described may be used for wound healing, including the treatment, amelioration, or prevention of scars and/or keloids by applying and/or maintaining a pre-determined strain in an elastic skin treatment device that is then affixed to the skin surface using skin adhesives to transfer a generally planar force from the bandage to the skin surface. Applicators are used to apply and/or maintain the strains, and some of the applicators are further configured to provide at least some mechanical advantage to the user when exerting loads onto the skin treatment device.

Some embodiments relate to a wound dressing, packages containing such dressings and methods of their manufacture. Such wound dressings may comprise: a cohesive bandage having a length and a width, the length being substantially greater than the width; and an absorbent pad affixed to the bandage near to but spaced from a terminal end of the bandage so as to form a tail portion between the pad and the terminal end of the bandage.

A wound care tape includes a sterile high-stretch strip of woven material having a first face and an opposed second face. A sterile adhesive is on the first face in a discontinuous pattern, whereby a set of spaced apart adhesive-covered portions of the first face are covered by the adhesive, and a set of spaced apart adhesive-free portions of the first face are free of the adhesive.

Although protective members such as urethane sheets and PVC sheets used for wiring harnesses exhibit very good performance in knocking sound characteristic, they are poor in silencing effect for rubbing sound generated by a wiring harness and a vehicle body or the wiring harness and another member in a vehicle and vehicle interior quietness may be impaired due to the rubbing sound generated in the vehicle. Rubbing sound generated in a vehicle is suppressed by a wiring harness with sound absorber including a sound absorber including a nonwoven fabric having a basis weight of 50 to 400 g/m.sup.2 and a thickness of 5 to 20 mm and a wiring harness at least partially integrated with the sound absorber.

A wound dressing is selectively configurable for use in a pressure gradient wound therapy system and for use without a pressure gradient wound therapy system. The wound dressing can include a pressure distribution layer and a covering layer. The covering layer includes an indicia, the indicia denoting the optimal position in the covering layer to create an aperture to provide fluid communication between the pressure distribution layer and a source of non-atmospheric pressure.

In aspects of bi-directional packaging adhesive, a sterile package includes a bandage with a sterile pad, and the bandage adheres to an applied surface. The sterile package includes a non-stick backing that adheres to the bandage, with the non-stick backing being removable for application of the bandage. The sterile package includes packaging that encompasses the bandage and the non-stick backing, and includes a bi-directional adhesive configured to release in a first package opening direction to remove the packaging while maintaining the adherence of the non-stick backing to the bandage, and hold in a second package opening direction to remove the non-stick backing from the bandage along with removing the packaging. A portion of the non-stick backing is attached to an inside of the packaging with the bi-directional adhesive, and the attached portion peels the non-stick backing from the bandage in the second package opening direction to open the packaging.

The invention relates to a dressing (16) for use in the negative pressure therapy of wounds, having: a wound contact layer (28); an air-impermeable top layer (34), wherein a receiving space (36) is formed between the top layer and the wound contact layer, wherein the wound contact layer is designed such that it is liquid-permeable and draws wound exudate from the wound into the receiving space, and wherein a connection opening (26) is formed in the top layer; and at least one distribution layer (50) arranged in the receiving space, wherein the distribution layer extends in two surface directions (X, Y) and is designed to distribute wound exudate in the surface directions. According to the invention, the distribution layer is formed by a flat material web portion (52), a first side (56) of the flat material web portion is designed as a structure defined by elevations (60) that are formed integrally with a plane (54) of the flat material web portion, a terminal through-opening (64) is formed in at least some of the elevations, and a cohesive intermediate space (66) is formed between the elevations.
