A stroke detection device for detecting, along a longitudinal direction, a stroke amount of a spool arranged in a valve main body. The stroke detection device includes: a device main body attached to the valve main body; a detection rod extending along the longitudinal direction of the spool, and movably arranged along the longitudinal direction inside the device main body, in a position where a tip end portion faces an end surface of the spool; a stroke detection unit configured to output a detection signal according to the stroke amount of the detection rod with respect to the device main body; and an attracting unit arranged in the tip end portion of the detection rod, the attracting unit being attracted to the end surface of the spool by magnetic force.

Device for Analysis of Synthetic Rope or Cable, and Method of Use
20170023347 · 2017-01-26 ·

Disclosed are methods and apparatuses for analysis of synthetic ropes, cords, slings, cables and belts (collectively termed ropes) including but not limited to ropes for bearing loads as well as fibre optic cables. The ropes are provided with one or more elements for magnetic detection, wherein the magnetic detection elements each comprise a metal fibre or an appropriately treated synthetic fibre. The methods and apparatuses encompass detection of induced or residual magnetism or magnetic flux in the magnetic detection element(s), to sense for example lay length and/or damage, breakage or wear of the magnetic detection element(s), indicative of the condition of the rope.

METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR CONTINUOUS CONDITION MONITORING OF HOIST CHAINS

A method and system for continuous condition monitoring of a hoist chain implementation of the following steps:detecting with at least one sensor a presence/absence of chain links and/or of teeth of a chain sprocket, determining with an evaluation unit, using a signal obtained from the sensor(s), time intervals reflecting the presence/absence, anddetermining with the evaluation unit sums of the time intervals, determining with the evaluation unit a chain speed, andcomparing with the evaluation unit the first sum with the second sum in order to determine an elongation of the hoist chain, wherein each time interval was determined at the same chain speed.

Electronic device comprising magnetometers

An electronic interactive device includes an interaction surface for use with a user borne device. The interaction surface includes a contact detection surface for detecting a device contact event with the interaction surface; a plurality of magnetometers defining a reference coordinate system and a sensing volume proximate to the interaction surface, with each of the magnetometers having a rigid spatial relationship to the other magnetometers; and processing circuitry communicably coupled to at least the contact detection surface and the plurality of magnetometers. The plurality of magnetometers perform magnetic field measurements and provide measurement data to the processing circuitry. The processing circuitry determines at least one of position and/or magnet orientation relative to a longitudinal axis of the user borne device and a distance separating the magnet and/or magnet orientation relative to a longitudinal axis of the user borne device from the interaction surface when the contact event occurs.

WELDING WIRE REMAINING AMOUNT DETECTION AND WARNING SYSTEM

There is provided a welding wire remaining amount detection and warning system which relates to the welding field. The present disclosure aims to solve the problem of inability to detect the welding wire remaining amount in the laser composite welding makeup device. In the present disclosure, in the welding wire remaining amount detection process, based on electromagnetic induction principle, the equivalent inductance of the coil decreases along with decrease of the welding wire. The change of the equivalent inductance of the coil is converted by the LC oscillator circuit into a directly-collectable frequency change signal. By detecting the value of the current frequency, the current welding wire remaining amount can be determined.

A system for measuring a conveyor belt includes a first detector fixed at a location along a path of a conveyor belt. A first signal generator is affixed at a first location of the conveyor belt such that the first signal generator is detectable by the first detector when the first signal generator is in range of the first detector. The first detector is configured to provide a first signal as the first signal generator approaches the first detector. The first detector is configured to provide a second signal as the first signal generator moves away from the first detector. A processor is in electronic communication with the first detector and configured to calculate a belt speed based on an elapsed time between the first signal and the second signal.

CHAIN MONITORING SYSTEMS AND METHODS

The present disclosure relates to chain monitoring systems and methods. In particular, the chain monitoring system is configured to mount onto a portion of a chain and measure one or more parameters associated with one or more characteristics of the chain. The measured parameters are processed by the chain monitoring system and/or transmitted to a remote system for analysis. The analysis may be used to determine a characteristic and/or change in the characteristic of the chain. In some examples, the characteristic is an elongation value associated with the chain, which can be transmitted to a networked system for analysis, display, and/or control. In some examples, a sensor can be employed to measure one or more characteristics of the chain. The sensor may include, but is not limited to, a strain gauge, an accelerometer, an optical, a sonic, and/or a magnetic sensor.
