Target sphere and target device
A surveying target sphere for use in a three-dimensional measurement has a spherical surface having a constant radius from a center and includes a north pole, a south pole, and a central axis passing through the center of the surveying target sphere and linking the north pole and the south pole, and a level is mounted at the north pole.
Level marking device for drywall installation
A level marking device for drywall installation is disclosed herein. In one embodiment, the level marking device includes a body portion configured to be attached to a carpenter's level; and a pin member coupled to the body portion. In another embodiment, the level marking device includes a carpenter's level, the carpenter's level including a body portion and a level indicator for establishing a horizontal and/or vertical line or plane; and a pin member coupled to the carpenter's level. The pin member of the level marking device is configured to be positioned at the intersection of one side of a stud and an edge of drywall. The level marking device is configured to position one edge of the carpenter's level approximately aligned with a centerline of the stud so as to enable a guide line to be marked on the drywall that approximates the centerline of the stud.
Vehicle Leveling Device and Method
A vehicle leveling device for ensuring that a vehicle is level for calibration of sensors that are installed on the vehicle is presented. A lifting jack is placed under each of the vehicle's wheels and a mounting clamp is mounted to each wheel. Each mounting clamp has a sizing frame having two ends, a clamping member slidably mounted upon each end of the sizing frame and a pair of pivotally mounted engagement hooks. A support member mounted central to the sizing frame that supports an indicator that allows a level reading to be taken. The lifting jacks may be actuated under each of the vehicle's wheels as needed the ever level indicator reads the same indicating that each wheel is coplanar and the vehicle is level.

Vial mounting system for a box beam level
A level includes a level body having top, bottom and side walls, and a window that opens into the interior of the body. A vial is positioned within the window. The vial is carried by, and rotatable relative to, a vial mount. The vial mount and the level body include engagement structure that fixes the vial mount against movement relative to the level body. Securing members, such as screws, are movably carried by the vial mount, and are engageable with the vial in order to selectively adjust the angular position of the vial relative to the level body and to selectively fix the angular position of the vial relative to the vial mount, and thereby relative to the level body.

Apparatus and Methods for Hanging Objects on a Vertical Surface
A hanger for hanging an object on a vertical surface includes a plate with a front face and a back face. The back face is to abut a vertical surface onto which the object is to be hung. The hanger includes a first hook and a second hook protruding outward from the front face and an integrated bubble level fixably coupled to the front face and calibrated to indicate a horizontal orientation of the first hook relative to the second hook. A plurality of wall contacts protrudes outward from the front face. Each wall contact includes an opening through which an attachment mechanism traverses to attach the plate to the vertical surface. The hanger does not require the object to have a specifically shaped counterpart in order to interface with the hanger. The hanger removes the need for elaborate and/or time-consuming measuring, thus saving the user time and frustration.

HANDS FREE LEVEL
A hands free level has a body having a first end, a second hook shaped end, and a level device. The level device has a tube partially filled with a liquid that has a bubble, a first left end marking, a first right end marking, a second left end marking, and a second right end marking, the first left end marking and the first right end marking defining a center portion in which the bubble is positioned to indicate level, the first left end marking and the second end marking defining an incline portion in which the bubble is positioned to indicate an incline grade, and the first right end marking and the second right end marking defining a decline portion in which the bubble is positioned to indicate a decline grade.
Magnet mounting and retention system for tool
A tool, such as a level, with magnets embedded in a working surface is provided. For example, the magnets assist in coupling the level to magnetic workpieces. The magnets are placed in a chamber with a floor having a periphery and internal walls extending from the floor periphery. Flanges extend from internal wall of the chamber toward a central axis or point and partially further define the chamber volume. Flanges may be created by depressing surface of the level near the chamber, thus deforming the level body surface to create a channel and a flange from the material displaced from the channel.
