The server further includes an information providing unit that prioritizes parking lots which are located within a predetermined range from the destination based on the output mode provides the parking lot information of the prioritized parking lots as the parking lot recommendation information to the onboard device.

Automatic generation of route design

A system including one or more processors and one or more non-transitory computer-readable media storing computing instructions configured to run on the one or more processors and perform certain acts. The acts can include obtaining orders for fulfillment to physical stores from a distribution center. There can be one or more respective stack groups associated with each of the orders. The acts also can include generating a set of feasible route templates for delivering the orders to the physical stores. The acts additionally can include formulating a mixed integer programming formulation for an assignment of the respective stack groups associated with the orders to the set of route templates. The acts further can include using an optimization solver for the mixed integer programming formation to determine the assignment that minimizes an overall cost of delivering the orders to the physical stores from the distribution center. The acts additionally can include outputting the assignment. Other embodiments are described.

A multi-objective scheduling advisor for generating a multi-stop visitation schedule includes generating, by a computer, a road network map corresponding to a predetermined area including a plurality of tasks locations. A task to be performed is assigned to each of the plurality of task locations. The computer calculates a business value for each task location using at least one of a calculation, a selected business rule applied to a delay duration, and an input value received from a client. A duration of a respective task is calculated using historical data on task durations associated with a staff of operators over different predetermined areas to determine an average task duration for every operator in the staff. Finally, using a metaheuristic binary optimization algorithm, the computer chooses different candidate tasks for the multi-stop visitation schedule to visit multiple assets in a single trip within the predetermined area.

System and method for managing waste services

A system is disclosed for managing waste services. The system may have a locating device configured to generate a signal indicative of a location of a service vehicle on a roadway, a communication device, and a controller in communication with the locating and communication devices. The controller may be configured to determine a side of the roadway at which a first target location is currently being serviced by the service vehicle, and to determine based on the signal from the locating device a proximity of the service vehicle to a second target location at which the waste services are to be performed. The second target location may be on the same side of the roadway as the first target location. The controller may also be configured to automatically provide via the communicating device an estimated time of arrival to a customer corresponding to the second target location, based on the proximity.

MOBILE DELIVERY SYSTEM AND SMART CAROUSEL DISPENSER

A mobile delivery apparatus is provided. Another aspect provides a software program used with a mobile delivery apparatus. Still another aspect includes a mobile delivery system utilizing a smart carousel dispenser. An aspect of the mobile delivery apparatus includes a delivery vehicle having a motor operable to drive terrestrial wheels of the delivery vehicle, a cargo box section, a carousel positioned in the cargo box section, and a plurality of storage bins positioned on the carousel. A further aspect includes at least one scanner positioned adjacent a first access door and configured to scan the bins and the parcels held in the bins as the carousel rotates. Yet another aspect employs a controller to rotate the carousel and selectively align one or more of the storage bins with a second access door.

METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR VEHICLE ROUTE DETERMINATION BASED ON MOTION DATA

Apparatuses and methods for determining a route are provided. In some examples, the method comprises: receiving measurements of one or more motion sensors of a mobile device disposed in a vehicle; selecting, based on a start time and an end time of a first route, a subset of the measurements; determining, based on the subset of the measurements, turns or stops made by the vehicle as part of the first route and their directions; determining, based on the subset of the measurements, distances of path segments traveled by the vehicle between the turns or stops; constructing an estimated route including a sequence of the turns or stops and path segments; selecting, based on comparing the estimated route and a plurality of candidates routes from a map, the first route; and displaying the map including the first route.
