DIRECTIONAL GUIDANCE FOR A SPACE
Embodiments of the present disclosure set forth techniques for directional guidance for a space. A computer-implemented method for guiding a user through a space includes determining a current location of the user and a destination location, where the current location and the destination location are locations within the space; determining a path from the current location to the destination location; determining at least one guidance cue associated with the path; and causing at least one guidance output device along the path to output the at least one guidance cue, wherein the at least one guidance output device is installed in the space.
Method and apparatus for generating information
Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a method and apparatus for generating information. A method may include: determining, according to received positioning request information, visiting information for a target area of interest, the visiting information including location information of at least one visiting point; determining, according to the location information of the at least one visiting point, a visiting point distribution map including the at least one visiting point; performing grid division on the visiting point distribution map, to obtain a first grid map including at least one grid; and generating, based on the first grid map, outline information for the target area of interest.
PERSONALIZED ROUTE RECOMMENDATION AND NAVIGATION
According to examples, a system for providing personalized routes may include a processor and a memory storing instructions. The processor, when executing the instructions, may cause the system to receive a user request for a personalized route wherein the user request can include at least a route origin and destination. The processor employs the user request to identify the user and retrieves the user's preferences from different recommender systems. The recommendations output by the recommender systems are ranked based on context data associated with the user request. The geographic locations associated with a predetermined number of top-ranked recommendations are obtained and a personalized route that passes through a maximum number of the geographic locations is built for a display to the user.
Methods of obtaining point of interest data
A method of generating a personalised recommendation of points of interest (POIs) for a user involves generating a route between an origin and a destination. A search area of a predetermined size is defined for each of a plurality of waypoints along the route. Personalisation data for the user is obtained from one or more social media websites. The POIs present within each search area are identified and descriptive data relating to attributes of each of the identified POIs is obtained. The POIs in each search area are then ranked based on at least a comparison of the personalisation data and the descriptive data relating to the respective POIs. A subset of the identified POIs is next selected for inclusion in the POI recommendation for each search area based on the determined ranking. A POI recommendation including the selected POIs is then displayed to the user.
System and method for supporting automated valet parking, and infrastructure and vehicle therefor
A system and a method for supporting automated valet parking, and an infrastructure and a vehicle therefor are provided. The method for operating a vehicle which supports automated valet parking includes initializing automated valet parking and receiving, from an infrastructure, a target position which is related to the vehicle and a guide route which guides movement to the target position. Additionally, the method includes performing automated driving by the vehicle along the guide route, and measuring a position of the vehicle based on behavior information of the vehicle and environmental information, while the vehicle performs the automated driving. The environmental information includes at least one among parking lot slot information, road signs, walls, pillars, and floor markings.
Method and device for electric vehicle navigation based on battery profile and route characteristics
Embodiments include methods, for a wireless device, to determine one or more preferred routes for an electric vehicle powered by a battery. Such methods include determining multiple candidate routes from a starting point to a destination. Each candidate route includes one or more segments, each segment associated with a slope and a distance. Such methods include, for each candidate route, estimating a route battery discharge amount and a route duration of travel based on a discharge profile for the battery and the slopes and distances associated with the segments of the candidate route. Such methods include selecting one or more preferred routes, from the candidate routes, based on a current state of charge for the battery, the route battery discharge amounts, and the route durations of travel. Other embodiments include wireless devices configured to perform such methods, and electric vehicles operably coupled to such wireless devices.
SYSTEM AND METHODS FOR EFFICIENT PARKING AND CHARGING OF ELECTRIFIED VEHICLES
A system can include: a detector configured to provide input information; an electric vehicle; an electric vehicle charger; and a cloud server configured to execute a Simultaneous Parking and Charging Management (SPCM) method based on the input information, and communicate with the electric vehicle to assign a time for a certain electric vehicle charger based on a result of the executed SPCM method.
NAVIGATION SYSTEM WITH PERSONAL PREFERENCE ANALYSIS MECHANISM AND METHOD OF OPERATION THEREOF
A method of operation of a navigation system includes: receiving a search request for a point of interest; determining a travel route based on a user profile; generating a candidate result for the point of interest based on a deviation relative to the travel route along the travel route; and communicating the candidate result for displaying on a device and proximate to the travel route.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR ASSISTED POSITIONING OF TRANSPORT VEHICLES FOR MATERIAL DISCHARGE IN A WORKSITE
A system and method are provided for assisting transport vehicle drivers in material discharge for optimized working at a worksite by work machines such as dozers. A first user interface associated with the work machine accesses a map comprising three-dimensional data corresponding to at least a portion of the worksite. User input is received via the first user interface corresponding to desired discharge location(s) in the worksite to be worked, and output signals are generated for modifying a display on a second user interface associated with the transport vehicle, said modifications corresponding to the received user input and for directing the transport vehicle to the desired discharge locations. The two vehicles may share a common mapping unit such that input from the work machine is applied substantially in real-time at the transport vehicle. Alternatively, the inputs may be translated across mapping units to generate appropriate positioning instructions.
IDENTIFYING PHOTOGENIC LOCATIONS ON AUTONOMOUS VEHICLE ROUTES
Systems and methods for generating images from an autonomous vehicle ride. Systems and methods are provided for determining whether a vehicle route passes a photogenic location and, if so, capturing an image at the photogenic location. The user can be provided with an option to take a detour to a nearby photogenic location. Additionally, a route can be selected based on one or more photogenic locations along the route. Captured images are provided to the user.
