Mobile Image Surveillance Systems
Detection models are distributed as needed to a select subset of image capture devices, based on geographic location and time of the image capture devices. Each image capture device which receives a model processes image data according to the model, and provides a notification of any detected instances of an event the model is trained to detect. Distribution and detection can be based on historical data or live data.
TRAVEL ASSISTANCE
Apparatus, systems, and/or methods may provide travel assistance. For example, a determination may be made that a user is to begin driving in the near future. In addition, a determination may be made of one or more predicted destinations when the user is to begin driving in the near future. Thus, travel assistance may be provided to the user based on the one or more predicted destinations when the user is to begin driving in the near future.
DELIVERY PATH GENERATION SYSTEM, DELIVERY PATH GENERATION METHOD, AND NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER READABLE MEDIUM STORING PROGRAM
A delivery path generation system (20), which generates a delivery path for a delivery terminal to deliver packages to a plurality of destinations, includes destination information acquisition means (11), estimation means (12), and delivery path generation means (13). The destination information acquisition means (11) acquires destination information at least including information based on the behavior of consignees at the respective destinations. The estimation means (12) estimates whether or not the consignee is present based on the destination information. The delivery path generation means (13) generates a delivery path based on the estimation.
Apparatus and methods of displaying navigation instructions
A device is disclosed for generating navigation instructions for display on a display device of a portable navigation device, comprising: means for accessing a repository storing digital map data pertaining to a navigable network along which the navigation device can travel; means for generating, for display on the display device, a three-dimensional perspective view of a model representative of the map data as though from a camera positioned at an elevation and pitch angle behind a current position of the portable navigation device, that is updated to follow the device as it travels along a planned route through the navigable network; and means for generating, in response to detecting that the current position of the navigation device is closer than a predetermined distance to a decision point in the planned route, a fast forward preview of the upcoming decision point by advancing the position of the camera for the three-dimensional perspective view along the planned route at a speed faster than the rate of travel of the current position of the device. Methods of operation of the device, and related computer software, are also disclosed.
Method and apparatus for providing alert notifications of high-risk driving areas in a connected vehicle
The present application relates to providing alert notifications of high-risk driving areas in a connected vehicle by calculating a first navigational route between a host vehicle location and a destination, transmitting the first navigational route via a wireless network, receiving via a wireless network an indication of a high-risk area in response to the first navigational route, generating a second navigational route in response to the high-risk area, presenting the second navigational route to a vehicle occupant via a user interface and prompting user action.
Mobile proximity detector for mobile electronic devices
A mobile electronic device includes a wireless communications interface configured to receive, from a remote device, a sequence of remote device proximity indicators. The sequence of remote device proximity indicators indicate positions of the remote device. A mobile proximity detector of the mobile electronic device is configured to monitor a current position and a current velocity of the mobile electronic device; determine, from the sequence of remote device proximity indicators, a current remote device position and current remote device velocity; and determine, using at least the current remote device position and velocity, and the current position and the current velocity of the mobile electronic device, a likelihood of close contact between a user of the mobile electronic device and the remote device. A notification manager of the mobile electronic device is configured to notify the user of the likelihood of close contact.
Grouping maneuvers for display in a navigation presentation
Some embodiments of the invention provide several novel methods for generating a navigation presentation that displays a device navigating a route on a map. The method of some embodiments uses a virtual camera that, based on detected changes in the navigation context, dynamically modifies the way it captures portions of the map to produce different navigation scenes in the navigation presentation. To generate the navigation scenes, the method of some embodiments (1) identifies different sets of attributes that describe the different navigation contexts at different times during the navigation presentation, and (2) uses these different sets of attributes to identify different styles for operating the virtual camera. In some embodiments, the method uses an identified style to specify the virtual camera's positional attributes, which, in turn, define the portions of the map that the virtual camera identifies for rendering to produce several navigation scenes for a period of time (e.g., until the navigation context changes, or until the navigation presentation ends when the navigation context does not change again). During the navigation presentation, each time the navigation context changes, the identified set of attributes may change. This change, in turn, may cause the method of some embodiments to select a new style for operating the virtual camera. When the style for operating the virtual camera changes, the method of some embodiments modifies the way the virtual camera captures the portion of the map to render.
METHOD FOR OPERATING A NAVIGATION APPARATUS, AND NAVIGATION APPARATUS
Technologies and techniques for operating a navigation apparatus, wherein the navigation apparatus includes a display device and a control device for controlling the display device. A navigation suggestion for an upcoming traffic maneuver is output on the display device, and wherein at least one further navigation suggestion for at least one traffic maneuver following the upcoming traffic maneuver is output on the display device. The present disclosure also relates to a navigation apparatus.
Generating navigation instructions based on digital map context
In order to determine navigation instructions, a mapping server can use digital map data, which can include a set of intersections connected by road segments. In some cases, the mapping server generates navigation guidance data for one or more intersections of digital map data. Responsive to a request for navigation instructions from a client device, the mapping server can generate a navigation route between an origin and destination location, and a corresponding set of navigation instructions can be generated based on the navigation route. In some implementations, the generated navigation instructions are then modified to clarify or otherwise improve the quality of the navigation instructions. Finally, the finalized navigation instructions can be sent to a client device for display to the requesting user.
POSITIONING METHOD AND APPARATUS
A positioning method, which relates to the positioning field and is applied to target positioning in a spatially overlapping scenario, is disclosed. The positioning method can avoid a positioning error in the spatially overlapping scenario. The method includes: constructing a local topology map of a target at a current moment based on identifiers of segments and one or more connection relationships among at least some of the segments, wherein the identifiers of the segments and the one or more connection relationships are prestored in map information; and determining, by using the local topology map, a specific road segment in which a target located in a spatially overlapping region is located at a next moment. In addition, a positioning map linked with a road segment may be further stored in the map information, and a positioning map linked with a positioned road segment is determined based on the positioned road segment, to implement high-precision positioning.
