Route management methods and systems for electric vehicles are provided. First, a driving monitoring system of an electric vehicle is used to detect a driving state of the electric vehicle. Then, the driving state is transmitted to the server via a network by the driving monitoring system. The server performs an analysis according to the driving state to obtain a driving behavior index of a driver corresponding to the electric vehicle. Then, a plurality of routes are provided in the server, wherein each route includes a plurality of stations, and average distance between two stations. The server selects one of the routes according to the driving behavior index, and assigns the selected route to the driver of the electric vehicle.

A control device that controls a straddle type vehicle, comprising: a route information acquisition unit configured to acquire information on a planned travel route of the straddle type vehicle; a weather information acquisition unit configured to acquire weather information corresponding to the planned travel route; a determination unit configured to determine whether or not the planned travel route of the straddle type vehicle is affected by the weather based on the weather information; and a control unit configured to propose information on a refuge location for taking refuge from an influence of the weather when it is determined that the planned travel route is affected by the weather, wherein the control unit proposes a refuge location farther away from an affected area as information on the refuge location, based on the affected area affected by the weather.

In particular, this disclosure relates to preparing route guidance information that ensures a user is directed along a route that includes stops where various needs such as e.g. medical, food, or water can be met while also minimizing traffic. Such a system may be useful, for example, when evacuating from a metro region in the face of an oncoming natural disaster such as a hurricane.

A device can be configured to identify location information for the device and provide navigation instructions to the device based on at least the location information and an identified destination. The device can access scheduling information indicating an availability of a user of the device, and determine based on the scheduling information, whether to provide content related to one or more places of interest. When it is determined to provide the content, the device can determine a timing for output of the content in relation to output of the navigation instructions.

A system for delivering content to a user based on geolocation may include a user device with a location sensor and a software application. The system may include a server, including executable instructions configured to execute a tour module. The server may include a data storage, including user data and tour data stored thereon. The tour data may include a point of interest (POI) data object, including location data and content data. The software application may be configured to obtain a location of the user device from the location sensor and send the location to the tour module. The tour module may be configured to determine, from the location of the user device, that the user device is within a geo-fence of the POI data object and send the content data to the software application. The software application may be configured to display the content data on the user device.

The controller determines, based on a preference of a user of a vehicle that enters a parking lot adjacent to a complex facility having a plurality of shops and a plurality of facility entrances, a shop to be used by the user from among the plurality of shops. A computing system for presenting on a mobile device pieces of content each connected to a geographic location is described. The facility plots visual indications of the pieces of content in a two-dimensional display with respect to an origin point representing a user geographic location. In particular, for each piece of content, the facility plots a visual indication at a point that is (1) in a direction from the origin point that corresponds to a compass direction from the user geographic location to the geographic location to which the piece of content is connected, and (2) at a distance from the origin point that corresponds to a predicted amount of time to travel from the user geographic location to the geographical location to which the piece of content is connected.

A method of generating a personalised recommendation of points of interest (POIs) for a user involves generating a route between an origin and a destination. A search area of a predetermined size is defined for each of a plurality of waypoints along the route. Personalisation data for the user is obtained from one or more social media websites. The POIs present within each search area are identified and descriptive data relating to attributes of each of the identified POIs is obtained. The POIs in each search area are then ranked based on at least a comparison of the personalisation data and the descriptive data relating to the respective POIs. A subset of the identified POIs is next selected for inclusion in the POI recommendation for each search area based on the determined ranking. A POI recommendation including the selected POIs is then displayed to the user.
