Vehicle and method of controlling the same
A vehicle includes a terminal connection unit configured to access portable terminals, a terminal communication unit configured to receive signals from the accessed portable terminals according to types of the terminals and generate normalized data, and a control unit configured to generate a control signal for controlling a corresponding component in the vehicle based on the normalized data.
VEHICULAR DRIVER MONITORING SYSTEM
A vehicular driver monitoring system includes an interior electrochromic rearview mirror assembly and a camera disposed at the interior electrochromic rearview mirror assembly behind and viewing through an electrochromic mirror reflective element into the interior cabin of the vehicle. Supplemental sources of near infrared illumination are integrated into the mirror assembly that, when powered to emit near infrared light, illuminate at least a front seating area within the interior cabin of the vehicle. Presence of the camera is not readily apparent to an occupant sitting in the interior cabin of the vehicle. The interior electrochromic rearview mirror assembly includes a processor that processes image data captured by the camera. The camera at least views a driver-side front seating area of the vehicle and, via processing at the processor of image data captured by the camera, the driver seated at the driver-side front seating area is monitored.
Method for providing guidance to location of vehicle using smart glasses and apparatus for carrying out the same
A method for providing a current location of a vehicle includes detecting and determining whether a smart key approaches the vehicle. Identification information of the smart key is received from the detected smart key. Information related to the current location is transmitted to an external device upon recognizing the inherent identification information to provide guidance to the current location of the vehicle through the external device.
Methods and systems for collaborative navigation and operation with a mobile device and a wearable device
Disclosed is an apparatus and method for collaborative navigation and operation on two mobile devices. The method may include establishing a wireless connection between a first mobile device and a second mobile device, and generating navigation data by the first mobile device for collaborative navigation based on a location of the first mobile device. The method may also include selecting a first subset of the navigation data for display by the first mobile device, and selecting a second subset of the navigation data for display by the second mobile device. The method may also include transferring the second subset of navigation data to the second mobile device and coordinating the display of the first subset of navigation data on the first mobile device with display of the second subset of navigation data on the second mobile device.
In-car information system, in-car device, and information terminal
An information terminal includes: an operation assignment information storage unit that stores operation assignment information; an actuation information reception unit that receives from an in-car device actuation information; an assignment unit that, on the basis of the operation assignment information and the actuation information, assigns some among a plurality of operations in the information terminal to each of one or more actuations among a plurality of types of actuation that can be inputted with an actuation unit provided to the in-car device respectively, according to priority levels; an actuation signal reception unit that receives an actuation signal outputted from the in-car device; and a conversion unit that, on the basis of the result of assignment by the assignment unit, converts the actuation signal into an operating command that corresponds to one among the plurality of operations.
Coordinated driving through driver-to-driver V2X communication
According to one or more aspects, a system for coordinated driving may include a vehicle communication system receiving a proposed driving maneuver from a tractor vehicle, an input device receiving a response to the proposed driving maneuver from an occupant of a trailer vehicle, and a route generation module generating a route corresponding to the proposed driving maneuver based on the response to the proposed driving maneuver. The tractor vehicle may be engaged in segment-by-segment coordinated driving with the trailer vehicle utilizing a cooperative adaptive cruise control (CACC) module.
DOMESTIC DESTINATOR
A domestic destinator having an entry means is provided that is portable and may have a charging means, cable, wireless capabilities and or is an application suitable to run on computing devices and can include a monitor with a screen having a mounting accessory comprised of a base with a connecting means to a surface and a shaft. A domestic destinator capable of receiving destination entry to organize a list of locations in various visiting scenarios to display routing and navigation maps.
VEHICULAR DRIVER MONITORING SYSTEM
A vehicular driver monitoring system includes an interior rearview mirror assembly disposed in a vehicle and including a mirror reflective element. A camera is disposed at the interior rearview mirror assembly and views a driver sitting at a driver seat of the equipped vehicle. The camera is operable to capture image data. A control includes a vision system-on-a-chip image processor that processes image data captured by the camera. The control, via processing at the vision system-on-a-chip image processor of image data captured by the camera, determines driver movement. The vehicular driver monitoring system generates an output responsive at least in part to the determined driver movement.
Apparatus for guiding route of vehicle based on mobile terminal, system including the same, and method thereof
A system for guiding a route of a vehicle includes a vehicle terminal, a mobile terminal, and a telematics multimedia system (TMS) server, and the vehicle terminal includes a first processor configured to synchronize route information discovered and generated by the mobile terminal, search for a route to a destination based on traffic information, and determine an optimum route by comparing the searched route and the route information discovered by and received from the mobile terminal.
SAFETY AND PERFORMANCE INTEGRATION DEVICE FOR NON-AUTONOMOUS VEHICLES
A method, apparatus, and system for integrating a non-autonomous vehicle into a transit environment populated with autonomous vehicles. An autonomous vehicle network integration apparatus is disclosed which collects data over a wireless network regarding a vehicle's route and surroundings, including nearby fully and partially autonomous vehicles. The apparatus is configured to analyze data and dynamically determine a range of influence, within which it communicates with vehicles to suggest driver actions and inform self-driving vehicle behavior.
