ELECTRIC VEHICLE SIMULATION

Systems, methods, and other embodiments described herein relate to informing a user how a hypothetical electric vehicle would perform based on the driving habits of the user in a non-electric vehicle. In one embodiment, a method includes identifying an origin and a destination of a non-electric vehicle after the non-electric vehicle has arrived at the destination. The method includes determining energy information for a hypothetical electric vehicle traveling from the origin to the destination and outputting the energy information to the user.

Systems and methods for intelligent ad-based routing
11551264 · 2023-01-10 · ·

Examples of the present disclosure describe systems and methods for intelligent ad-based routing. In example aspects, a destination input, desired time for arrival, and user profile data is received in a ride-sharing application. The input data is classified by applying one or more machine-learning models to the data. Based on the classified data results, candidate physical advertisement locations may be selected along a certain route. Different types of routes may be selected that range from the shortest possible route (i.e., a direct route) to a major detour (i.e., the most cost-effective route). A major detour takes the user on a route that exposes the user to as many advertisements as possible while still arriving at the final destination before the desired time of arrival. In exchange for a longer route and more exposure to physical advertisements, the cost of the ride may be offset. While the user is in proximity to the physical advertisement along the route, businesses associated with the physical advertisement locations may transmit real-time advertisements/messages to the user to be displayed on a user device, a vehicular device, and/or a combination of the two. During the ride, the real-time business information may be received that may alter the route to maximize the effectiveness of real-time advertisement delivery.

Suggesting a route based on desired amount of driver interaction

Aspects of the disclosure relate generally to generating and providing route options for an autonomous vehicle. For example, a user may identify a destination, and in response the vehicle's computer may provide routing options to the user. The routing options may be based on typical navigating considerations such as the total travel time, travel distance, fuel economy, etc. Each routing option may include not only an estimated total time, but also information regarding whether and which portions of the route may be maneuvered under the control of the vehicle alone (fully autonomous), a combination of the vehicle and the driver (semiautonomous), or the driver alone. The time of the longest stretch of driving associated with the autonomous mode as well as map information indicating portions of the routes associated with the type of maneuvering control may also be provided.

Connected vehicle for providing navigation directions to merchant terminals that process vehicle payments

Methods, systems, apparatus, and non-transitory computer readable media are described for using a vehicle as a payment device. Various aspects may include receiving a selection of a stored financial card or financial account at a vehicle head unit. The selected financial card or financial account may be transmitted to a point-of-sale (POS) terminal for making a payment by transmitting a tokenized card number to the POS terminal. The tokenized card number may be transmitted over a very short-range communication link to ensure that the transmission is secure. For example, electronic circuitry may be attached to the exterior of the vehicle, where the electronic circuitry may be within a threshold distance (e.g. one inch, three inches, six inches, one foot, three feet, etc.) of the POS terminal. The tokenized card number may be transmitted from the vehicle head unit to the electronic circuitry and then to the POS terminal.

Method and apparatus for generating a flood event warning for a flood prone location
11691646 · 2023-07-04 · ·

A method, apparatus and computer program product for activating a flood event warning are described herein. In the context of a method, a location may be identified as a flood prone location. Data relating to the flood prone location may be received from one or more remote devices. The method may determine a flood confidence for the flood prone location based upon the data. The method may identify an active flood event for the flood prone location based on the flood confidence and cause a flood event warning to be activated in an instance in which the active flood event is identified.

Vehicle safely calculator

In an approach to assessing safety of a vehicle based on usage context, one or more computer processors receive a planned usage of a vehicle from a user. Based on the received planned usage, one or more computer processors determine a set of preferred vehicle characteristics. One or more computer processors retrieve a maintenance record and a usage history of a first vehicle. Based on the maintenance record and the usage history, one or more computer processors determine one or more vehicle characteristics of the first vehicle. Based on the set of preferred characteristics and the one or more vehicle characteristics of the first vehicle, one or more computer processors calculate a usage match score. One or more computer processors generate a risk assessment report.

METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR REGULATING TRAFFIC EMISSIONS ACROSS A STREET NETWORK

A method for regulating traffic emissions across a street network comprises calculating, by an external control entity, a real-time location-dependent immission load across the street network based on at least one of environmental data, traffic data and configuration data of the street network, providing, by motor vehicles using the street network, navigation data characterizing a route of each respective motor vehicle along the street network and emission data characterizing exhaust emission levels of each respective motor vehicle along its route, and calculating an optimized driving route for each motor vehicle along the street network based on the calculated immission load and the exhaust emission levels of the motor vehicles. The optimized driving route is calculated by the external control entity and transmitted to each motor vehicle via a wireless communication network, or wherein the optimized driving route is calculated by an internal control unit of each respective motor vehicle.

System And Method For Optimizing Home Visit Appointments And Related Travel
20230005607 · 2023-01-05 ·

A system and a computer-implemented method employ an appointment optimization and route planning system (AORPS) for optimizing home-visit appointments and related travel for delivering patient care. The AORPS receives registration and patient data from patients and client input including information about healthcare providers, onsite care coordinators, health plans, appointment types, and success rates from a client. The AORPS collates the patient data and generates an input matrix from the client input and the collated patient data. The AORPS generates a predictive model for appointments, capitation, and return on investment for delivering patient care based on appointment and patient history, feedback, and healthcare data. The AORPS generates an appointment schedule with travel routes dynamically based on optimization factors derived from the client input, the collated patient data, the input matrix, the healthcare data, and the predictive model, incorporating real-time changes in patient data, the client input, the optimization factors, and appointments.
