The present disclosure provides an object association method and apparatus, and an electronic device, which relate to the technical field of maps. A specific implementation solution is: when performing object association, extracting first description information of each of a plurality of first objects from real data, and extracting second description information of each of a plurality of second objects from high-definition map data; and determining, according to the first description information and the second description information, association probabilities between the first objects and the second objects; then determining, according to the association probabilities between the first objects and the second objects, an association result of the first objects and the second objects, thus realizing automatic associations between objects in real world and objects in a high-definition map, and improving an association efficiency of objects.
APPARATUS AND METHODS FOR PREDICTING STATE OF VISIBILITY FOR A ROAD OBJECT
A method, apparatus and computer program product are provided for predicting a state of visibility for a road object. For example, at least one processor receives road sign attribute data indicating at least one attribute of a road sign. The processor further receives weather forecast data indicating a weather forecast of a location in which the road sign is disposed, and using the road sign attribute data and the weather forecast data, a state of visibility for the road sign is identified.

A computer implemented method for determining the position of a vehicle, wherein the method comprises: determining at least one scan comprising a plurality of detection points, wherein each detection point is evaluated from a signal received at the at least one sensor and representing a location in the vehicle environment; determining, from a database, a predefined map, wherein the map comprises a plurality of elements in a map environment, each of the elements representing a respective one of a plurality of static landmarks in the vehicle environment, and the map environment representing the vehicle environment; matching the plurality of detection points and the plurality of elements of the map; determining the position of the vehicle based on the matching; wherein the predefined map further comprises a spatial assignment of a plurality of parts of the map environment to the plurality of elements, and wherein the spatial assignment is used for the matching.
Using static scores to control vehicle operations
An example system includes a sensor for obtaining information about an object in an environment and one or more processing devices configured to use the information in generating or updating a map of the environment. The map includes the object and boundaries or landmarks in the environment. The map includes a static score associated with the object. The static score represents a likelihood that the object will remain immobile within the environment. The likelihood may be between certain immobility and certain mobility.

A path providing device configured to provide a path information to a vehicle includes: a communication unit configured to receive, from a server, map information including a plurality of layers of data, an interface unit configured to receive sensing information from one or more sensors disposed at the vehicle, a processor, and an event data recorder (EDR) configured to store vehicle status information including first sensor data sensed by a first sensor associated with an operation of the vehicle, and second sensor data sensed by a second sensor associated with surrounding information of the vehicle. The processor is configured to determine an optimal path for guiding the vehicle from an identified lane, generate autonomous driving visibility information, update the optimal path based on dynamic information and the autonomous driving visibility information, and include the vehicle status information stored in the EDR in the autonomous driving visibility information.
