Method and arrangements for providing intensity peak position in image data from light triangulation in a three-dimensional imaging system
11467030 · 2022-10-11 · ·

Provision of a position of an intensity peak in image data produced by an image sensor in response to light sensed by the image sensor after the light has reflected on an object as part of light triangulation performed in a three-dimensional imaging system. Devices are configured to obtain the image data and determine which of first and other, second, peak characteristics that the intensity peak is associated with. The position is provided according to a first computing algorithm if the intensity peak is associated with the first peak characteristics and according to a different, second computing algorithm if the intensity peak is associated with the second peak characteristics.

Method and apparatus for fluorescence lifetime measurement

A method, apparatus and computer program product are provided to determine the fluorescence lifetime in an efficient manner. In the context of a method electric charge generated by fluorescence emission during two overlapping time periods of a single measurement cycle is stored to form first and second measures. The electric charge generated during that segment of the two time periods during which the two time periods overlap is incorporated in the first measure and in the second measure. The method also includes determining a fluorescence lifetime based at least in part upon the first and second measures.

Distance-measuring device and method thereof

Provided are a distance-measuring device and a method thereof. The distance-measuring device detects light reflected by an object and converts the light into electrical signals, outputs a saturation signal equal to or greater than a reference value from among the electrical signals, detects a peak using the saturation signal, and measures a distance to the object using the peak.

An illuminance sensor detects a flicker with higher accuracy than in the related art. The illuminance sensor includes: a light receiving unit that receives light and outputs a current; a flicker measurement counter circuit that performs AD conversion on the current and outputs a first digital signal to a flicker measurement storage device; an illuminance measurement counter circuit that performs AD conversion on the current and outputs a second digital signal to an illuminance measurement storage device; and a flicker detection unit that detects a flicker by analyzing the first digital signal stored in the flicker measurement storage device. A cycle during which the first digital signal is output from the flicker measurement counter circuit is shorter than a cycle during which the second digital signal is output from the illuminance measurement counter circuit.
