LEAKAGE DETECTION UNIT WITH VARIABLE SIZE ORIFICE

The present invention relates to leakage detection unit (100) comprise of an upper housing (5), a lower housing (6) accommodating an electromechanical valve (1), a pump assembly (2), a pressure sensor (3) and a bush (4), wherein the pump assembly (2) includes a pump that permits flow of air that, due to which pressure in passage of the pump becomes constant after a time interval and that pressure is considered as reference pressure. The pressure is measured by help of the pressure sensor (3) and in case the measured pressure is not equal or above to the reference pressure than there is leakage in the isolation valve (100), whereas in case the measured pressure is equal or above the reference pressure that there is no leakage or some permissible amount of leakage in the fuel tank within the time interval.

SYSTEM AND METHOD OF CHECKING SEALING OF A BRAKE CALIPER HOUSING

A system and method of checking sealing of a brake caliper housing. The method may include determining a level of moisture in a cavity of a brake caliper housing with a sensor. In another configuration, the method may determine whether a detected pressure inside the cavity remains stable for a predetermined period of time.

Leak Detection Device

A leak detection device includes a body having at least one fluid input that receives a fluid leak, at least one drain fluidly coupled with a container, and at least one sensor conduit input fluidly coupled with at least one sensor. The fluid input is located above the drain but below the sensor conduit input. The body includes an internal conduit that is fluidly coupled with and extends between the fluid input, the drain, and the sensor conduit input. The internal conduit includes a lower branch that extends below the fluid input to the drain. The internal conduit includes an upper branch that separately extends in the body above the sensor conduit input to the drain. The lower branch includes a reduced flow portion below the fluid input and the sensor conduit input but above the drain.

A METHOD FOR TESTING THE STATE OF AT LEAST ONE INTERNAL REINFORCEMENT ELEMENT OF A LIQUID VEHICLE TANK

A method tests the state of an internal reinforcement element connecting two opposed walls of a liquid tank including an initial amount of liquid measurable by a level sensor. The method includes: a) determining a first threshold based on the initial amount of liquid and an initial internal pressure of the liquid tank; b) monitoring a level sensor output and a pressure sensor output; c) if the pressure sensor output is above the first threshold, determining a second threshold and a third threshold; d) comparing the level sensor output to the second and third thresholds; e) if the level sensor output is above the second threshold, sending a first predetermined signal indicating that the internal reinforcement element is broken, and/or if the level sensor output is below a third threshold, sending a second predetermined signal indicating that the internal reinforcement element is broken.

Systems, methods and apparatus for in-service tank inspections

Systems, methods and apparatuses for inspecting a tank containing a flammable fluid are provided. A vehicle configured to inspect the tank can include a propeller, a battery, a control unit, an inspection device, and a ranging device. The battery provides power to the propeller, the control unit, the inspection device, and the ranging device. The control unit generates a map of the tank. The control unit determines a first position of the vehicle on the map of the tank. The propeller moves the vehicle through the flammable fluid in the tank. The inspection device determines a quality metric of a portion of the tank. The control unit causes the propeller to move the vehicle from the first position to a second position within the tank. The control unit determines the quality metric for the portion of the tank at the second position within the tank, and stores the quality metric.

Determining air leakage

A system (100) and method for determining the air leakage of a space (102) in a building is disclosed. The system (100) comprises a processor (120); a source (130) of compressed air; a pressure sensor (150) configured to measure the pressure of air residing within the space (130) and to provide background pressure signals to the processor (120); a nozzle unit (140) for metering the supply of a pulse of compressed air from the source (130) and for directing the pulse into the space (102) and a source pressure sensor (132) configured to measure a transient pressure during the pulse and to provide a transient pressure signal to the processor (120), wherein the processor (120) is configured to determine the air leakage based on changes in the background pressure signals and from the transient pressure signal. This provides a more reliable and cost effective way of measuring air leakage.

Electrical housing and process for testing the sealed nature of the electrical housing

An electrical housing comprises an opening adapted to receive an electrical cable and/or an electrical connector, a housing wall delimiting an internal volume of the electrical housing, and a test passageway. The test passageway has a dimension and a position in the housing wall adapted to permit testing of a sealed nature of the electrical housing while impeding access to an electrically live element in the internal volume of the electrical housing.
