A plurality of sensor arrays are coupled to at least one of the pumps or at least one of the valves for detecting at least one element. Each of the sensor arrays includes at least one serial connected sensor or parallel connected sensor.
FILTERS FOR MIMICKING REGIONAL LUNG DEPOSITION
A filter for mimicking regional lung deposition is provided that includes filter layers of fibrous filter material stacked coaxially and an outer ring portion encircling the fibrous filter material and securing the filter layers together. The fibrous filter material is formed for fibers having a fiber diameter, and the filter has a tunable filter efficiency. A regional lung deposition system capable of measuring constant flow or variable flow is provided that includes a throat simulation device, a filter housing downstream of and in fluid communication with the throat simulation device, a breath simulator downstream of and in fluid communication with the filter housing, and a an above-referenced filter positioned within the filter housing. Also provided is a filter housing for use in the regional lung deposition system that includes a conical housing having a small inner diameter at a first end and a large inner diameter at a second end.
Precision sampling device
Systems, devices, and methods are described herein for a vapor or gas sampling device. In one aspect, the described collector may include an outer tube having first and second ends, with the hollow tube forming a plurality of perforations proximate to the first end. In some examples, the perforations may prevent the passing of detritus or environmental contaminants through the perforations. The collector may also include inner tube having a first end and a second end, with the hollow tube forming a plurality of perforations proximate to the second end, which is opposite the first end of the outer tube. The inner tube may be positioned or affixed at least partially inside of the outer tube. The perforations on the inner tube may be located towards the second end when relative to the perforations on the outer tube, such that the perforations of the two tubes do not overlap.
GAS DETECTOR
A gas detection unit is accommodated within a housing of a gas sensor and the outside atmosphere of the housing is introduced through the filter to the gas detection unit. The filter comprises an organic polymer gas-permeable filter removing siloxanes and an inorganic filter removing alcohols and passing gases to be detected.
Backflush device for filters of a sampling system
A backflush device for filters of a sampling system having a connecting element, which is passed through by a retrieval line that is connectable to the filter and which has at least one backflush line ending in the retrieval line, having a check valve arranged at or in the backflush line, where the check valve is connectable to a pressure line for a pressurized flush medium such that in the case of an open check valve, the backflush line may be flowed through by the flush medium in a backflush direction oriented towards the retrieval line, and where the backflush line ends in the retrieval line at an obtuse angle, observed in the direction of the backflush direction.
Removable cassette for an apparatus for sampling nanoparticles present in an aerosol, and filtration assembly for such a cassette
The invention relates to a filtration assembly (5) comprising an annular support (12) which comprises an annular step (13) having an apex on which a filter membrane (11) rests, and a cover (20) covering the annular support in order to hold a periphery of the membrane between the cover and the annular support. The cover comprises a ring (21) which fits around the step to trap the periphery of the membrane between the ring and the annular support, the ring being extended by a skirt (22) which extends as a projection from the ring to cover an external peripheral wall of the annular support and to exhibit an end face (23) which extends in continuity with a bearing face (24) of the annular support. The invention also relates to a removable cassette for an apparatus for sampling nanoparticles comprising such a filtration assembly.
Condensate removal apparatus for sampling
Systems, devices, and methods are described herein for an auxiliary heat exchange system for use in scientific sampling. In one aspect, a heat exchange system may include at least one first conduit housed in an external casing, that is removably attachable to a heat/cooling system of a vehicle. Another conduit, such as a tracer tube, may be positioned proximate to the first conduit and housed in the external casing for at least a partial length of the first conduit. The tracer conduit may include a first end that is removably attachable to a gas collection device and a second end removably attachable to a measuring device. The first conduit may be configured to carry heated liquid from the heating/cooling system of the vehicle to maintain at least a threshold temperature of gas samples in the tracer conduit to prevent or reduce the formation of condensates in the tracer conduit.
GAS SAMPLING INSTRUMENTS AND METHODS
Devices, systems, and methods for sampling of gases to determine information regarding leaks are disclosed. Balanced sampling can be achieved by application of an inlet having a gas permeable membrane covering the opening. Extending the opening for a length can provide additional coverage for gas sampling. Connection of gas sampling instruments with analysis systems can determine leak information for use in remedying leaks, for example, from industrial equipment such as pipelines.
System and method for low pressure low flow dilution extraction gas sampling
Disclosed is a system and method for low-pressure, low-flow dilution extraction. The system includes an outer housing, an inner housing partially within a heating element, and a manifold connected to the inner housing, having taps for a sample nozzle and dilution nozzle, and a through hole connecting the sample and dilution nozzle taps to allow a sample gas from, e.g., a stack to mix with a dilution gas before being drawn at a low pressure towards a gas analyzer.
INTEGRATED FILTER-BASED PARTICULATE MATTER SENSORS
