COATING EVALUATION DEVICE AND COATING EVALUATION METHOD
In a coating evaluation device and a coating evaluation method, information on a coating is acquired. The information on a coating includes shape information representing a curved shape of a coating surface and surface roughness information representing a surface roughness of the coating surface. An evaluation value that corresponds to a combination of the shape information and the surface roughness information is estimated by using an evaluation model that outputs a brilliance evaluation value pertaining to the coating surface in response to an input including the shape information and the surface roughness information.
Method and device for quantification of plant chlorophyll content
A system for measuring chlorophyll concentration in a leaf sample includes a leaf-holding illuminator device with a main body containing a power source, a plurality of switchable light sources emitting light at different spectra (e.g., red and white light from a broadband light source), and a cap detachably secured to the main body using one or more fastening means. The leaf sample is interposed between the main body and the cap and held in place during imaging. The system includes a mobile electronic device having a camera configured to capture an image of the leaf illuminated by the plurality of switchable light sources, the mobile electronic device having wireless connectivity to a network and an application contained therein configured to transfer the images to a remote sever or computer via the network for data processing. A final chlorophyll index value is calculated based on the transferred images.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR REMOVING DEFECTIVE SEEDS AND PLANTS IN A GROW POD
A system for removing seeds includes a track, one or more carts moveably disposed on the track, one or more sensors, a removing device, and a controller. The controller includes one or more processors, one or more memory modules, and machine readable instructions stored in the one or more memory modules that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the controller to determine a location of one or more of one or more contaminated seeds and one or more contaminated plants on the one or more carts based on information received from the one or more sensors and instruct the removing device to remove one or more of the one or more contaminated seeds and the one or more contaminated plants based on the location.
DEVICE FOR OBTAINING IMAGES OF BACTERIAL CULTURES IN A DISH
The present invention relates to a device for obtaining images of bacterial cultures in a dish. The proposed device includes a support for a culture dish to be analyzed surrounded by an annular light emitting source facing an image capturing device and a non-reflective surface which, in conjunction with a reflective surface arranged in the periphery of the support, form a preferably spherical-shaped contrast observation chamber, providing a glare- and reflection-free, uniform tangent illumination of the support.
Sensor System for Measuring a Snowpack Profile
A sensor system is for measuring the profile of a snowpack along a snowpack passage. The sensor system has a probe and at least one processor. The probe has at least one first sensor set. The first sensor set has at least one first photoemitter for emitting light and at least one first photodetector for detecting light. A processor is provided for receiving output signals from the first sensor set. The processor is for calculating a snowpack profile.
COATING EVALUATION DEVICE AND COATING EVALUATION METHOD
In a coating evaluation device and a coating evaluation method, information on a coating is acquired. The information on a coating includes material information representing a material of a coating surface, and at least one of shape information representing a curved shape of the coating surface, and surface roughness information representing a surface roughness of the coating surface. An evaluation value that corresponds to a combination of the material information, the shape information, and the surface roughness information is estimated by using an evaluation model that outputs a brilliance evaluation value pertaining to the coating surface in response to an input including the material information, the shape information, and the surface roughness information.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DETECTING AND ANALYZING THE PHYSIOLOGICAL CONDITION AND HEALTH OF PLANTS
A system, devices, and methods for remotely monitoring biological and physiological characteristics of plants is provided. More specifically, applying an excitation light source with a relatively short wavelength to a plant, using a detection apparatus to detect fluorescence emitted from the plant in response to the excitation light, and recording the data corresponding to such emitted fluorescence. Such recorded data can be analyzed to determine the general health condition and various characteristics of the plant in real time.
METHODS, SYSTEMS, AND DEVICES FOR DETERMINING A PRESENCE OR CONCENTRATION OF A CHEMICAL IN A SAMPLE BASED ON IMAGE ANALYSIS
Disclosed herein are systems, methods, and devices for determining a presence or concentration of a chemical in a sample based on image analysis. In one embodiment, a computing system for image analysis includes one or more hardware computer processors configured to execute software instructions and one or more storage devices storing software instructions for execution by the one or more hardware computer processors configured to cause the computing system to perform the following steps. The computing system receives imaging data of at least one sample droplet of a sample and at least one reagent. One or more imaging properties are identified from the imaging data and a result is generated. The result indicates the presence or concentration of a chemical in the sample based on the identified imaging properties. The computing system stores the imaging data and the result.
METHOD FOR IDENTIFYING A SET OF CANDIDATE SUBSTANCES USING A RAMAN SPECTROSCOPY DEVICE, A RAMAN SPECTROSCOPY DEVICE AND A NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER-READABLE STORAGE MEDIUM
The present inventive concept relates to a method (100) for identifying a set of candidate substances of a sample (10) using a Raman spectroscopy device (200). The method (100) comprises recording (120) a Raman spectrum using an exposure time, and recording (162) a further Raman spectrum using a further exposure time. The further Raman spectrum may exhibit Raman peaks not recorded/detected in the Raman spectrum which possibly reduces the set of candidate substances. If necessary, one or more additional Raman spectra are recorded to further reduce the set of candidate substances, such that a single candidate substance eventually remains, thereby deemed to be a substance of the sample (10). A Raman spectroscopy device (200), a computer program and a non-transitory computer-readable storage medium are also provided
