System for monitoring the probability of viral disease transmission
A system for assessing an indoor space for favorable conditions for the transmission of a viral particle is disclosed. A set of sensors measure a set of environmental parameters, and a processor is configured to combine the measured set of environmental parameters into a single scale of numerical or descriptive value representing the favorability of viral transmission in the indoor space.

Apparatuses, systems and methods of providing a personal air quality monitor. The personal air quality monitor may include a housing suitable for physical association with a person; an air inlet capable of providing air flow from an environment outside the housing to a chamber within the housing; a plurality of sensor resident within the chamber, suitable for receiving the airflow and measuring air quality factors associated with the airflow; and a communication system suitable for processing the air quality factor measurements and communicating the processed air quality factor measurements to a user interface cognizable to the person.
Method and system for gas identification by simultaneous permeation through parallel membranes
The present disclosure relates to a system and a method for gas fingerprinting. The system includes multiple holders having a distinct gas-permeable membrane disposed of therewithin such that a confined space is created behind the membranes. The test gas is pressurized in a single gas reservoir and is allowed to permeate through the membranes into respective confined spaces. The accumulated pressure values behind the utilized membranes (in the confined spaces) at a given time, are simultaneously recorded using pressure sensors. The recorded gas accumulation data is processed by a computing device to determine a characteristic property for each test gas. The system ability to fingerprint gases is demonstrated by ten test gases including helium, neon, argon, hydrogen, nitrogen, carbon dioxide, methane, ethane, propane, and ethylene, and is also able to discriminate between closely related gases.
Gas sensor
A gas sensor includes: a first thermistor having a resistance value that changes according to a concentration of a first gas with a first sensitivity and changes according to a concentration of a second gas with a second sensitivity; a second thermistor connected in series to the first thermistor, the second thermistor having a resistance value that changes according to a concentration of the first gas with a third sensitivity that is lower than the first sensitivity and changes according to a concentration of the second gas with a fourth sensitivity that is different from the second sensitivity; and a correction resistor connected in parallel with the first or second thermistor.
Wireless exposure monitor
Systems, apparatuses, and methods for monitoring an environment are provided. One system includes a monitoring unit positioned within an environment and including an acoustic sensor configured to generate detected acoustic data regarding acoustics in the environment, and a controller having one or more processors and one or more non-transitory memory devices that store instructions for controlling the one or more first processors to receive and store the detected acoustic data, determine, based on the detected acoustic data, whether a noise is above a threshold, and determine, based on the detected acoustic data and that the noise is above the threshold, an estimated source of the noise.
AIR QUALITY MONITORING SYSTEM AND METHOD
In an illustrative configuration, a method for monitoring air quality is disclosed. The method includes accepting analyte gas into a cell and reflecting light rays into the analyte gas repeatedly across the cell into at least one sensor. The light scattered by particulate matter in the analyte gas and amount of spectra-absorption due to presence of a gaseous chemical is then measured. Based on the determined amount of spectra-absorption and the measured scattered light the gaseous chemical is then measured.
Chemical sensor and method for detecting target substance
A chemical sensor for detecting a target substance in a gas sample, including a membrane; and an olfactory receptor fragment which is fixed to the membrane. The chemical sensor optionally includes a source electrode connected to one end of the membrane; and a drain electrode connected to the other end of the membrane, in which the membrane is a graphene.
Electronic nose apparatus based on spectrum analysis and method of implementing the same
In an electronic nose apparatus and method based on spectrum analysis, 1) a gaseous sample is dissolved into a solvent in an impinger, and the sample dissolved into the solvent is introduced into an RF resonator, and 2) RF having various absorption spectra according to materials are generated in the RF resonator, and the type of gas is determined through spectrum analysis so that an electronic nose is implemented. In this way, it is possible to overcome the resolution of gas chromatography (GC) and a sensor array and a limited number of multi-channel sensors (the number of channels).
SENSOR PACKAGE AND SENSOR MODULE
A sensor package 10 includes a container 18 and a plurality of sensors 19. The container 18 includes inside an internal flow path 21 allowing a fluid to flow in a first direction d1 having linearity. The plurality of sensors 19 is located in the internal flow path 21 and arrayed in the first direction d1. The sensors 19 detect a component to be detected within the fluid.
GAS MEASUREMENT DEVICE AND GAS MEASUREMENT METHOD
The gas measurement device includes a plurality of electrodes arranged apart from each other so as to have a gap through which gas can pass, each electrode connected to a power source for applying voltage or current, and a gas sensor configured to detect gas molecules passing between the electrodes.
