Fluid level wake-up functionality
A reduction device includes a housing defining an input chamber configured to receive exhaust from a power source, an output chamber, an exhaust channel configured to direct the exhaust from the input chamber to the output chamber, and a longitudinal axis. The reduction device also includes a treatment unit disposed in the exhaust channel and along the longitudinal axis. The treatment unit is configured to at least partly remove pollutant species from the exhaust. The reduction device also includes an attenuation component disposed in the housing and radially outward of the treatment unit. The attenuation component is fluidly connected to the exhaust channel, and is configured to attenuate a range of frequencies corresponding to operation of the power source. Additionally, the exhaust channel prohibits exhaust entering the input chamber from exiting the housing without passing through the treatment unit.
PROCESS AND SYSTEM FOR MONITORING AT LEAST ONE CONCENTRATION OF A GAS IN A MONITORED AREA
A process and a system for monitoring at least one concentration of a gas in a monitored area includes generating data by a mobile gas measuring device (3a), whose position in the monitored area is determined or is known and transmitting the data directly or indirectly to a central data processing unit (1). The data are compared with at least one limit value, and an information signal is outputted by the at least one mobile gas measuring device and/or by the central data processing unit in case of an undershooting or overshooting of the limit value. The monitored area is divided into at least two zones (8) and zone-specific parameters are assigned to the zones. A functionality of the mobile gas measuring device is set and/or changed based on the current position of the gas measuring device and based on at least one of the zone-specific parameters.
LOCAL SAFETY FEATURES FOR GAS METERS WITH LOCAL GAS DETECTOR PAIRING AND MULTI STACK SUPPORT
A system includes a gas detector to detect a gas leak and notify a gas meter of a gas level of the gas leak. The gas meter receives the notification about the gas leak from the gas detector, and compares the gas level detected by the gas detector with a threshold level. The gas meter determines if the detected gas level is greater than the threshold level to determine whether to turn off a gas valve due to the detected gas level. The system also includes a head end system configured to receive notification of the detected gas level and status of the gas valve from the gas meter.
Gas detection device and method
Gas detection methods, systems, and devices. The gas detection device includes a housing portion configured with at least one gas sensor, one or more processors executing instructions stored on memory to process data from the at least one gas sensor, and a communication device configured to transmit a signal regarding the processed data. The gas detection device further includes a connection component to operably position the housing portion with respect to a structure to enable the at least one gas sensor to detect a gas emitting from the structure.
Portable apparatus for measuring air quality and method for displaying information about air quality
Disclosed is an apparatus for measuring air quality, the apparatus comprises a first sensor circuit; a second sensor circuit; a third sensor circuit; a communication circuit configured to communicate with an external server; a display; a processor; and a memory, wherein the memory stores instructions that, when executed, cause the processor to: detect air quality related information by using the first sensor circuit, obtain at least one of movement information detected by using the second sensor circuit or adjacent environment information detected by using the third sensor circuit while the air quality related information is detected, determine validity of the air quality related information from using the first sensor circuit based on the adjacent environment information or the movement information, display the air quality related information from using the first sensor circuit or air quality related information received from the external server based on the determined validity.
Lithium-ion battery impending failure detection
A battery management system configured to detect impending failure of a lithium-ion battery cell includes a sensor array microchip. The microchip includes a plurality of silicon chemical-sensitive field effect transistors (CS-FETs) configured to detect multiple distinct gases vented by the lithium-ion battery cell. The battery management system also includes a cell monitoring unit (CMU) configured to receive from at least one of the CS-FETs data indicative of a detected amount of gas vented by the lithium-ion battery cell. The CMU is also configured to compare the data indicative of the detected amount of the vented gas to a predetermined threshold amount of the subject vented gas programmed into the CMU. The CMU is further configured to trigger a signal indicative of impending failure of the lithium-ion battery cell when the detected amount of the vented gas exceeds the predetermined threshold amount of the subject vented gas.
