The controller system is adapted to provide a drying operation for second converter including short circuiting the second converter with the controllable switches of the second bridge in circuit, and supplying power from the generator through the first converter to the short circuited second converter for drying the second converter.
Combustion analyzer with dual carbon monoxide and methane measurements
A combustion analyzer configured to simultaneously detect the concentrations of oxygen, carbon monoxide and methane in a combustion process is provided. The combustion analyzer includes an oxygen sensor configured to detect the oxygen in the combustion process and generate a first sensor signal indicative of the concentration of oxygen in the combustion process. The combustion analyzer further includes a dual carbon monoxide-methane sensor configured to operate at approximately 600° C. and provide a second sensor signal indicative of methane concentration and at approximately 300° C. to selectively provide a third sensor signal indicative of carbon monoxide concentration. The combustion analyzer finally includes a controller configured to receive the sensor signals, determine the concentration of oxygen and generate a carbon monoxide concentration output and a methane concentration output based on the dual carbon monoxide-methane sensor signals and the concentration of oxygen.
Automated remote gas monitoring and flare control system
The present invention comprises a remote gas monitoring system (RGMS) which improves soil-gas monitoring and data management tasks at landfills and other impacted sites while reducing errors in data collection. The remote gas monitoring system incorporates multiple remote gas monitoring sensors and allows for continuous monitoring of landfill soil-gas composition and more efficient and cost-effective operation of a landfill flare system. The invention also comprises a method of controlling the operation of a landfill flare by signaling the flare to begin and cease operation based on predetermined threshold landfill gas concentrations.
COMBINED AUTOMATIC DEPENDENT SURVEILLANCE-BROADCAST AND CARBON MONOXIDE DETECTING DEVICE
An in-flight safety enhancing system including: a combined automatic dependent surveillance broadcast (ADS-B) and carbon monoxide (CO) detecting device configured to receive an ADS-B transmission and obtain a CO reading; and a flight application executing on an aircraft crew computing device separate from the combined ADS-B and CO detecting device, and configured to: receive the ADS-B transmission and the CO reading; augment the flight application with information extracted from the ADS-B transmission; and provide a CO status notification when the CO reading exceeds a CO threshold value.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR CHEMICAL VAPOUR SENSING
Embodiments relate generally to methods, systems, devices and applications for use in relation to the detection of chemical vapours. A particular embodiment relates to a device for chemical vapour sensing. The device comprises a housing of a size to be manually portable, the housing defining a plurality of receptors adapted to receive a respective plurality of manually replaceable chemical vapour sensing components. The device further comprises at least one signal receiver to receive data signals from each chemical vapour sensing component when the chemical vapour sensing component is positioned in one of the receptors.
Face mask for filtering air and air monitoring system
A face mask for filtering air includes a face seal for providing an airtight flexible seal around the nose and mouth of a user, a support sealably attached to the face seal, wherein the support has an open area that allows for passage of incoming air and outlet valves for expelling exhaled air, a front shell for removably attaching to the support, wherein the front shell has inlet holes for allowing the incoming air to pass through the open area of the support, and a filter for filtering particulate elements from air. The filter is configured to be housed between the front shell and the support. The face seal provides a direct connection between the filter and the user.
Portable sensor device with a gas sensor and low-power mode
A mobile device comprises a CPU operating a display and other user interface circuitry. Further, it comprises a gas sensor as well as a sensor hub connecting the gas sensor and other sensors to the CPU. In order to save power, the device can be brought into a low-power operating mode, where the CPU is idling or switched-off and the gas sensor itself has a low-power and a high-power operating mode. However, even in this low-power operating mode, the sensor hub still monitors for changes of the signal from the gas sensor and wakes the device up if such a change is detected.
Method for predicting corrosion and spontaneous combustion of sulfur-related petrochemical equipment
Disclosed is a method for predicting corrosion and spontaneous combustion of sulfur-related petrochemical equipment. The method solves the issues in the existing techniques that includes narrow predicting range, high workload in installation and maintenance, and time lag in predicting corrosion and spontaneous combustion inside equipment. The method comprises a step of a dual index system prediction, which includes a step of monitoring a temperature and a step of detecting SO.sub.2 gas generated by spontaneous combustion. The time when spontaneous combustion occurs can be accurately calculated by using a fitted quantitative relationship formula generated by the spontaneous combustion of corrosion products. The method has a low Labor cost. The method has a low labor cost and, does not require on-site gas detection to be carried out by means of manual detection, which both reduces the cost and ensures the detection accuracy.
Dive computer with free dive mode and wireless data transmission
A dive computer with a free dive mode and/or wireless data transmission capabilities. In one embodiment the invention relates to a diving apparatus including a dive computer having a free dive mode, where the dive computer is configured to calculate a nitrogen loading in the free dive mode using a default value which is the fraction of oxygen in air, and where the free dive mode is used when a diver makes a dive without a self-contained underwater breathing apparatus. Another embodiment includes a method of operating a dive computer including recording two or more first identifiers, receiving pressure information from two or more pressure transmitters, the pressure information comprising second identifiers and pressure measurements, determining whether the pressure information contains one of the two or more first identifiers, and displaying a message indicative of the pressure information that contains one of the two or more first identifiers.
CONTROL AND MONITORING SYSTEM FOR PESTICIDE AND HARMFUL BEE DRUGS IN BEE HIVES
A hive monitoring system that determines any change in chemicals (pesticide, antibiotics, bee medicines) in the hive, measures environmental and informs the control authorities so as to provide a fully monitored and controlled production from hive to spoon. There is a chemical substance sensor in the system that measures odors at levels that cannot be detected by the human nose, and records the chemical substance data with a time stamp. The measurement data is compared by a chip with the harmful bee pesticides and limit values that should be in the hives, and information is sent to the processor unit if the limit values obtained as a result of machine learning are exceeded. The users can receive the warning/informative notifications instantly via access devices over a server that receives and stores the data sent from the processor unit and can follow the conditions of the hive when desired.
